I specifically remember having a fear last summer Big Sean would never progress into the rapper I knew he could be. Kanye’s imminent return and the KiD CuDi machine seemed to be the two primary priorities at G.O.O.D. Headquarters and their Detroit transplant appeared to be an afterthought. Then, Finally Famous 3 dropped and his perception and buzz appeared to do a complete 180°. Since then, B-I-G Sean-Don has been on a roll with guest appearances, promoting his own work and live shows. The hustle will apparently pay off 48 hours before Cinco De Mayo with the long-awaited release of Finally Famous: The Album.

During a conference call, Sean dispensed these four pieces of information:

1. The album is not completely finished, but Kanye West, Pharrell and Mike Posner will make the final tracklist.

2. He will drop a mixtape before the album.

3. Look for music with Curren$y and many more artists to be released soon.

4. The video for his Chris Brown-assisted “My Last” will be shot next week.
