The movie Home Alone is a bold face lie. Kevin McCallister had me wanting to be left solo at my house on any random day fighting off potential intruders with traps, gadgets and everything in between. Luckily, I grew up and realized that was quite possibly the dumbest wish a kid could ever ask for. Yet, the film does harbor a classic quote – “This is it, don’t get scared now.” The same can be said about the remainder of the NBA season.
Sooner than later, the weather will get warmer and the intensity in the league will follow suit. And I’m not even talking about March Madness yet either; that’s another beast in itself. This is when the push for the playoffs truly begins, elbows flying increase in occurrence and contenders separate themselves from pretenders. Sounds good, right? Before we move forward, however, there’s nothing wrong with looking back on what’s advertised as the most enjoyable exhibition in sports: the NBA All-Star Game.

Two things.
1) This was a fun game to watch, as usual.
2) I think Javale and Demar deserved to be in the dunk contest final… But you cant be mad at watching blake trying to break his arm on a rim.
The Celtics and Heat have about as good a friendship as O.J. Simpson and Fred Goldman.

I’ve been saying that they hate each other more than people think. This Celtics team has beaten the Cavs and Heat fairly easy over the last 4 seasons and last 3 playoffs. And even from the pre-season Boston talks, the Celtics have been tired of hearing about the Heats greatness and gives disrespectful face-mushes every chance they get.
Chris Bosh was still talking about the loss 3 games after they played the Celtics.
BTW, the Celtics may be getting Rip Hamilton by the weeks end for the injured Marquis Daniels. *fingers crossed*
Random ASG thoughts:
- Durant and Westbrook are gonna be fixtures in this game for years.
- Kevin Love’s outlet pass skills were made for this game.
- If ATL ever got a true big center so Al could slide to the 4 and Smith to the 3 they’d be in the title mix. I like seeing carribean cats balling (Al)
- I think Doc Rivers read the Simmons trade value column and was doing his best to give Amar’e big minutes and assist in his knees breaking down.
- My sister decided that KG looks like Jafar from Aladdin.
- LeBron was something else during the game, firing up his teammates, getting them motivated to play, busting his ass and giving 110% effort. For a second he was reminding me of the LeBron from games 5 and 6 against Boston last year playoff, but then I remembered that can’t be right because that played half-ass and quit.

I will never understand how you can win MVP while losing the game. Kevin Durant kept the West from losing the comeback to East. Kobe admitidly “filled his quota” and clearly ran out of gas by the 4th quarter in which he only scored 1 basket, in which Durant had 14 finishing with 34 pionts.
I think because of how ridiculous Blake’s props were in the final round, people are over hyping Mcgee’s performace. His 1st dunk was his best dunk. I wasn’t so impressed with the 3 ball dunk or the backwards one arm wind-mill. I do think DeRozan should have been in the finals though. Blake’s best dunk was also his 1st one too.

Kobe put on 1 hell of a show but you know that’s hating when they triple-teaming & putting 4 defenders on him so he couldn’t get or tie the record! Bron did pretty good too although he choked again by passing to Amare instead of taking the shot! I agree Durant & Westbrook will be a fixture for years to come! That was great when Kobe went by Bron for the dunk too as well as the 1 past Rose! Also Rose was pretty quite I think he expanded to much of his energy in the 1st half of the season for da Bulls which is 1 reason why tho! Overall another really exciting ASG!

I can be unbiased at times lol.
I know it’s the All Star game but bronbron traveled on that dunk, and on the next layup down the floor that was very similar. I’m just tired of seeing him get away with it, or maybe I’m still salty he got away with it twice in the playoffs on game winners, but whatever.
