Sometimes publicity for an artist comes along with no money down, but they’ll eventually have to pay a high interest tax. A couple of months ago, Jim Jones thought he was Hugh Hef…Joe Francis when shooting his “Summer Time” video and got a couple of girls gone wild in the video. Now they’re coming for revenge because they allege they never authorized their cupcakes to appear in Jimmy’s feel-good film.

The Manhattan Supreme Court suit, which targets Jones, Sony Music Entertainment and others, seeks to stop the “further dissemination” of the video, which has been viewed more than 30,000 times on YouTube.

“They knew they were being filmed,” said Taso Pardalis, a lawyer for the two women. “But they didn’t know they were going to be used in a video without their permission. “They were prancing about in the water and in the moment, they kind of went along with it,” Pardalis said. “But you can see one of the girls in the video cover up immediately when she realized they were being filmed.” [NYDN]

The most impressive aspect of all of this is how that video survived on YouTube all this time. Hopefully Jimmy has a Vimeo account stashed somewhere or his vacation memories will be lost forever.
