All three of these parties have banded together for the release of The “Wuz Here” Sessions, a four track EP of K.R.I.T. going in with a live band and vocals in support. Yesterday, Yours Tru.ly announced the formation of a new label, Love Letters Ink, and a portion of the sales from the project go to therootsofmusic charity, a program dedicated to “Saving the youth of New Orleans through Music and Mentorship.” There’s two buying options, either digital or a limited edition 12-inch vinyl, both available via Bandcamp.

Now, don’t fxcking complain to me about Hip-Hop being dead, music having no soul or artists not possessing compassion or a higher purpose to serve. Instead, buy the product when it’s presented on a well-polished platter. At a certain juncture, it’s on fans to hold up their end of the bargain as patrons of the arts.
