Somewhere around French 4 or 5 in high school, my mind had absorbed just about all of the langage de l’amour it could handle. One day my teacher asked me what would happen if I ever went to France on business, to which I replied that I’d pay her to be my translator since I’d done so well for myself. Everyone laughed & I got out of some sort of reflexive noun demonstration.
I haven’t made it back to France yet, but Mrs. Matticola has now been relegated to part-time status thanks to the Word Lens iPhone/iTouch app that translates printed words into different languages. It only allows for English to Spanish translation & vice versa for the time being, but other languages should be in the works. If they can find someway that would allow foreign languages to be transcribed in the same matter, we’d all be good to go.

man technology is gettin fuckin scary. In no time, our phones gon be able to fuckin carry conversations with us…After that its the good ol D-Day
I got this app last week (jailbroken, of course) and it’s actually pretty dope. I was in LA, and I used it a few times, but I can see how this could lead to some more innovative possibilities.
dope

@Darius
Done a little research about jailbreaking–I’m aware of the downsides, what are the major pros if you don’t mind me asking?
