Anyone outside of the blogosphere more than likely had Termanology and Statik Selektah’s Hip-Hop nostalgia trip, 1982, fly right over their heads in 2010. That’s fine because I’m sure both could give a damn if those fair-weather fans took notice or not. The album was one of the genre’s purest forms, a mind-melding 16 tracks of listening pleasure. To celebrate the LP’s release, the Beantowners take the stage at Middle East in their native northeastern abode for a live performance of “Goin’ Back” and “The Radio.” The fervent energy of the crowd shows attests to the fact that the masses still like their beats scratched, their live shows jumping and their cups filled with one of the three key facets of the Holy Trinity.
