Hailing from the left field bleachers, Theophilus unexpectedly adds his touches to The xx’s “You’ve Got The Love” and it works like a charm. The finish product is a brilliant little blending of two already unique acts and the tune can cause the body to begin two-stepping voluntarily so take care before hitting play.
Sinuous harp chords introduce the Brits’ tune before dropping the salacious beat. Theo’s bars help to enhance the thundering bass drum all while matching the continual, sensual strings. xx’s Romy Croft and Oliver Sim provide a casual exchange of verses before coalescing with London’s added vocals and rickety steel drums–a remix that could best be described in the words of TLC: crazy, sexy and cool.
