With the click of a Walkman closing, Homeboy Sandman, Moses Rockwell and P SO deliver a clear message to the masses. Hearkening back to the days of the portable tape player, these New York representers have come to flash skill like they did back in ’86. Tossing off verbal darts over a laid-back beat from Jah La Eer, each of these emcees make it clear there’s plenty of talent living in the Big Apple today. It’s a natural impulse to try to rank the verses on a posse cut like this one, but each of the trio acquits himself so nicely that it’s impossible to put one over another.
The video is a strong first impression from the brand-new ACT:LIVE music label, who put this song together. The visuals shown off in the piece are strongly, defiantly New York City and the emcees are three of the best flying under-the-radar today. As it’s the city of my birth, I’m especially pleased by the landmarks displayed in the video. Been in that Delancey Street-Essex Street station more than a couple of times.

Thank you so much for the kind words, much appreciated! Lots more great music to come this year :)
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
I cut for Homeboy Sandman, he seems to only rhyme over dope beats. I’m wit that. Been a (i will check for him) fan ever since that d.j. spinna “get on down” video with this PS O cat too. Who did the beat?
this is niiiice.. never heard any of these cats before
yo, its almost 99 again where neggas is saying that they never heard of an artist/group before, then you motivate them to a show or dub.
