Integrating the Ultramagnetic MCs into a 2010 mixtape ain’t easy. But when executed properly, one can achieve admirable levels of dopeness. The fact that it’s Mic Terror that’s “Ego Trippin” with Kool Keith and Ced Gee, gives the Tony Baines-produced homage an added boost of Chi-town swagger. Mic spits his signature lackadaisical lyricism with the constant comedic twist, inducing the mandatory grinning and head-nodding throughout the whole cut. The only flaw? At just under a minute and a half, the old-school euphoria is short-lived.
