The Miami Heat have looked exactly how most expected during the infant stages of an electric 2010-2011 season. Dominant at times and extremely evident growing pains at others. D-Wade is the scorer while LeBron seems to be adapting to his facilitator/point-forward position leading the squad in assists with eight per game to go along with 21 points. Even the role players are accepting their roles as sharpshooters and rebounders. Yet, the one glaring disparity remains their post presence – or lack thereof.
Look, don’t shoot the messenger. Consider this passing along material that’s interesting and good for barbershop conversation. No one’s saying Bosh should or will be traded, but this just goes to show you how short of a leash people have “Miami 3:16″ on. Jason Whitlock of FOX Sports conjured up this crazy scenario, which, for as crazy as it sounds, comes off as completely logical given the events from this past summer.
We all pretty much agree LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are capable of impersonating Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Does Bosh have any Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant or Charles Oakley in his 6-foot-11, 235-pound frame?
Is Bosh a homeless man’s Dirk Nowitzki, a perimeter big man who put up inflated scoring and rebounding numbers because when visiting NBA players cross the Canadian border they put far more effort into acquiring condoms, loonies and a strip-club champagne room than their on-court assignments?
On the NBA circuit, Toronto is White Vegas, where jungle fever is celebrated by local strippers and escorts 41 times a year. Toronto is a great city to put up numbers and build a rep.
Miami, post-The Decision, is the perfect place to get exposed.
The Heat don’t need a Big Three. Wade and James need a rebounding and defensive goon.
Heat May Be Better Off Trading Bosh [FOX Sports]

Yo, y’all putting these mothafuckin post up fast as fucking shit! (unnecessary profanity FTW!) Oh and uh they’d be out the muthafuckin rabbit-ass mind, to undermine the abilities of Bosh. That would be stupid ass mistake number #1.
Cont.) Don’t count on him leaving. At all!
I take what Jason Whitlock says with a grain of Salt. He is right that the Heat do still need and rebounding defensive goon a Ben Wallace in his prime, or a Kendrick Perkins type.
You cant break up the “3-BFF”s…they’re friends til the end…
Boo freaking Hoo. I feel so sorry for all the bandwagon Heat fans that purchased their Bosh jerseys.
What’s funny is Bosh would have been much better served perceptions wise going to Chicago where he could put up 20-24 a game, grab a few boards and have Joakim Noah do all the dirty work for him. Instead he followed his boys to play third wheel and now people are overreacting the other way.
He’s in a tough situation because he will only get so many touches. Hard enough for Bron and Wade to divvy it up themselves. And he can’t contribute enough in other areas to make a difference.
We’ll see if they can get the chemistry out, but part of it is definitely on him. 5 rebounds a game is horrible.
“that shit that make your soul burn slow…”
I’d say talk of trading Bosh is premature but I’ve been trying to get this fool off my fantasy team since last week. Of course fantasy basketball doesn’t equate to real life ball. But like Pat said, grabbing 5 boards a game is Charles Barkley-level “turrible” and I’m trying to win out here haha.
this is crazy.
who would yall trade him to?
bosh, a pick and $ for al jefferson?
Seven games into a season
may beis overreacting, but the Heat better sew up their post problems b/c that’s the only thing they’re really lacking.Boston will get Perkins back soon enough and that gives them five bonafide big bodies to throw at Miami. Orlando still has Howard and the Lakers look like they want to go 73-9.
@Beware – In the article, he says Miami should look at Luis Scola or even Varajeao (however you spell his name).
M-1 not producing out there in Miami…
We’ll give you Kevin Love & Telfair
-David Kahn
That would be too funny.
@ complexone LMMFAO!!
& WTF does Bosh being a bust have to do with Toronto being “White Vegas” and Jungle Fever? That’s a tough sell their Whitty….let me give your logic a shot….
FOX sports is known as the “Douche Affiliate” of the sports publication industry. Fox Sports is a great place for writers to go to write bullshit stories and build a rep as a douche. The real world of journalism, post Whitlock releasing a crappy story, is the perfect place for douches to be exposed.
The Heat don’t need a Big Three. Wade and James need a rebounding and defensive goon.

Comedy
Trade Bosh?? Who the hell is gonna pick up that ridiculous contract? The funniest thing is that Wade was all set to bounce to Chicago until Riley brought Bosh, and THEN LeBron followed. So Bosh was the glue. Now look at ‘em.
Boo freaking Hoo. I feel so sorry for all the bandwagon Heat fans that purchased their Bosh jerseys

co-sign, although as a C’s fan you should prolly recall the same bandwagon effect went down when y’all copped a big 3. Just saying.
Anyway, Bosh’s problems are numerous: For one, he’s never been a good defensive player. Ever. Secondly, he’s never really been a good rebounder either, his numbers in that area were always more out of being the only big in Toronto and playing lots of minutes. Third, he’s never had a post-game a la Al Jefferson nor a devastating dive to the rim and dunk on you game out the pick n roll a la Amare. He’s a jump shooter. Fourth, he’s never played in a big game. 11 playoff games? He hasn’t been deep on that level and now you’re asking him to make a huge jump in intensity which I don’t think he can do because – lastly – he’s doo-doo soft. Teams are attacking him (see Boston, Hornets) and having success doing so because he’s soft and rail-thin and appears to have Chris Webber-itis in tight spots.
Amare or Boozer would have been a better fit. And either way they’d still need a center not named Zydrunas Anthony Magloire.
When Mike Miller gets back, problem solved, game over.
For the (potential) championships and endorsements Triami will receive, I’d put money on Bosh adapting into a more defensive/goon role before I put money on him being traded.

I don’t believe Bosh will be traded; but he is not all of a sudden going to transform into Charles Oakley

This author is a fuckboy. Come to my city making asinine remarks like that and you’ll get slapped the fuck back across the border pussy-bwoy. Granted that Toronto has never been a tour de force in the NBA, it’s not completely hapless and pathetic to the point that these type of wack-ass, fuckboy comments should be made.
Chris Bosh has always been soft and we already knew what was about to happen.
No PG and No Post play/rebound/blocked shots.
Any team with a good PG and decent big man will be able to defeat the Heat. NOt saying there’s that many of those types out there but there are a handful of them…
Boston, chicago, hornets, orlando, lakers, portland, even the Hawks

Huh? Miller is a low-post scorer, rebounder, and/or defender?
Also, don’t think this is some major revelation from Whitlock. None of this is new. I’d bet money he had this shit typed up since July. He merely waited a week into the into the season and hit send. Likewise, niggas been waiting for anything close to a negative story, took the bait and went all in. Laugh now, cry later.
Bosh isn’t going to get traded. Whitlock is a moron who has never broken a story in his life. Moving right along….
Lets calm down a bit. It hasnt even been 10 games yet. Lets see how at least one year plays out before we start passing judgement on the Heat in general let alone Cb4.

^^^Bahaha..everybody’s city is so hardcore..some douchebag blogger has you sounding like a douchebag internet thug..seriously, what did you hope to accomplish by writing you will slap some writer/pussy-bwoy you will never know?..oh..I get it..you are tough and everybody better recognize!!!..you “Go Hard” about a city?..haha..grow up..
Oh, shit. Hot topic. Meka actually posted.
I won’t claim to be an expert on Chris Bosh here, but seriously… I had to take him with a grain of salt. Because he was coming from T.O… They can make rappers and maple syrup, but let’s face it. NOBODY ever considered, or ever will consider the Raptors a championship-caliber team. If you’re any kind of decent though, your stats can go up.
It all comes down to being the big fish in the little pond, and suddenly you’re in the ocean, and now you’re being compared to the sharks. You either man up, or go home.
Huh? Miller is a low-post scorer, rebounder, and/or defender?
===================================
nah. Miller is that dude.
but seriously. they dont need a low post scorer. they need to learn how to play together. that takes time with two wing players who demand the ball. Miami may or may not win a championship this year, but i would bet in the second half of the season they go on some 15-1 streak. They are one defensive big man away from being the most dominant team in basketball.
also nobody remembers the Celtics from last year? regular season means exactly nothing when you have that much talent, just make the playoffs.
hey can make rappers and maple syrup,
===============================
dont call drake a rapper and maple syrup is best from vermont.
@el ro
joking but not. mike miller will spread the floor
plain and simple miami just needs time. its hard when two wing players who are used to the ball come together. it takes time to learn how the other plays. i would bet in the second half of the season that miami goes on some sort of 15-1 run.
also, remember boston from last year. regular season means nothing, just make the playoffs.
@Pandas
I agree that they do need time, but it’s not just their Big 3 that to readjust, it’s that you can’t trust rest of the team if LBJ and Wade are not on the floor. I watched Utah comeback last night from a 22 point deficit and win AFTER losing Deron during the final critical minutes of the game. The team was like Day/Night when Wade and LeBron(mainly LeBron) are not on the floor. Spo’ has a lot of work to do.
Mike Miller is so overrated. He ain’t the savior. I’d feel better with Eddie House out there
Spo’ has a lot of work to do.
================================
there is no reason his dumbass cant keep one on the floor at all times… and there may be games where its better to only have one on the floor at a time. (and Millsap hitting three trey’s isnt a comeback, its fluke… although my fantasy team thanks him)
people are looking at this the wrong way. ive heard the “cant co-exist” argument so much. these are professional basketball players who actually seem to get along. Its always better to have more options on the team. if one is off, the other can pick up the slack. If Kobe is off, Pau can pick up some of the slack but not all of it. If Rondo is off, the C’s dont have much else, same with the Hornets and Paul. If Wade is off, LeBron can step in, and lets be honest, Chris Bosh can do work. We’ve seen it happen, so if both are off they can just feed him and spread the floor with shooters like Toronto. There are so many options on this team its silly. Its only a matter of time. The only thing the Heat cant replicate or do better than the other elite teams is Phil Jackson. Kingpin status.
@complex
i live in the DC area so I got to watch Miller play last year. he is so underrated as a teammate. He is similar to an Andre Igoudala or a Lamar Odom, in the way that you dont want them as the first option but they can be a piece to complete your team. He handles the ball, rebounds, passes well and shoots well while taking smart shots.
The RuPaul of Big Men.
Hahahahaha
there is no reason his dumbass cant keep one on the floor at all times
——–
He pretty much has. But my point is that the answer can’t be Wade or James chaperoning the rest of the team. This is a long season and he has to be able to make these guy adhere to their roles on the team. Millsaps game may be a fluke but the reality of what happened is not.Especially since they’re gonna be getting everyones best effort. How many times have we seen deficits chipped and chipped away in the 3rd. Their top 3 didn’t have bad games. LBJ with a triple, Bosh one rebound from a double and Wade with 39.
If Rondo is off, the C’s dont have much else.
——
:-/ They have the best bench in the league and have proven on any given night that one of their Bigs can take the game while the others (even Rondo) stuck in position.
@Grits: Internet thug? Hardly, I just don’t like stupid Americans such as yourself taking shots at my country, especially my city. I wasn’t out to “accomplish” anything, which is a question you should be asking yourself since now you’re trying to attack me. Grow a set chump.
@ cell
the only reason your bench players step up is because no single player can guard john stock… i mean rondo. the boy is balling out of his damn mind this year. everyone else on your team is open. oh and just wait till Delonte sleeps with someones mom.
How many times have we seen deficits chipped and chipped away

NBA FINALS GAME 7… nah let me stop.. my sixers lost to the wizards last week.
The Heat can make a trade with the Lakers.The fans want Andrew Bynum gone so why not trade Chris Bosh for Andrew Bynum. That will give the Heat some size and Bosh can help the Lakers with his outside shooting.
@Grits: Internet thug? Hardly,
^^Bahaha..That has been proved..no debate….
I just don’t like stupid Americans such as yourself taking shots at my country, especially my city.
^^^oh..I’m sorry..I didn’t realize you were 12 yrs.old..lol..that writer OWNS you..LOL
@ Grits: Where did you come from? Nahright? I must own you because you chose to comment about what I said. Sorry for hurting for feelings, are you feeling better now? You can have some of my milk & cookies at recess ok?
^^Ok, my feelings are fine..You didn’t say anything about milk and cookies..if you mentioned them earlier,there wouldn’t have been a problem..nuff said..peace..
Well well well now that baby bosh got his wish to be on t.v all the time he just might be thinking what the hell am i doing in miami…we had him in Toronto for 7 years and what did he do…. NOT A DAMM THING…this guy is so soft that they should have called him the stay puff marsh-mellow man and now the world gets to see how soft he is….so thanks for the cash and the first round picks Miami and have fun with rupaul…..
For those who think James and Wade are ennough? bwahahahahahahaha. Guess what, Wade and Lebron arent all that either. Ill take Nash over Wade and Kobe over Lebron with Rondo ready to take over.
HEAT 48-34
You ALWAYS need a low post scorer.
The Heat will do well in the regular season because back-to-back games take their toll on older players. Wouldn’t even surprise me if they had the best regular season record…..
but in a BEST OF SEVEN???…. GTFOH. This ain’t NBA Jam.
@Pandas
also nobody remembers the Celtics from last year? regular season means exactly nothing when you have that much talent, just make the playoffs.
=========================================
Agreed it means nothing with veteran players who are clutch and cohesive, eg Lakers and Celtics. But for the Heat this is all they have, the regular season. Lebron is the furthest thing from clutch in the league, but still wants the ball. Wade can get it done, but not alone. Bosh has no playoff experience, and the rest of the team… who are they again? They will be lucky to win one best of seven, never two, or the 4 required for a championship! 2 years from now they may have a shot, but the playoffs are outside of their reach.
Damn yhcranA Kid ease up on the ebonics brotha! Bosh does not fit in with the ball hogs. We will send you Ratliff for Bosh lol.
Hey yhcranA Kid,
Does Chris pay you to stick up for him? After all, he’s nothing more than a pencil headed loser that can’t bang on the boards with the big boys. Face the facts bud, Bosh was way over rated in Toronto and now that he’d not getting his 20 touches a night, he’s not even worth a third of the money he makes. If Riley is smart, he’d try to ship his slanky ass out of Miami fast!
bosh isn’t going anywhere miami spent way to much on those guys it’ll be really stupid to trade him if thats the case lebron should be traded aswell
First off let’s rewind the tapes, number one Lebron didn’t show up the last games they played , he was n some other zone , his body language showed. Then second isn’t that the same shit Lebron did on the Cavaleers….And next the Heat were in the middle of rebuilding Wade should have left a long time ago , considering he hasn’t won no ring since 2006.. Next Bosh kept them wana be Jordans Wade/Bron in the game , u wana talk about rebound how about the rest of team , if the two other stooges would realize they have more then 3 players on the team….If I was Bosh I would take my talent elsewhere . Lebron still a prince not a a king , over rated over grown nail chewing Jackass , Lebron needs to figure out how to close out a game I mean the kingless man thinks he has a ring , people need to stop calling Lebron king James more like prince James lol.. Then again im glad they lost
