If you’ve ever rocked rhymes or orchestrated your own instrumentals, you’d know finding a live band to learn and reproduce your music is easier said than done. Which is why it’s all the more fresh when guys like Freddie Gibbs can hop on stage with psychedelic San Francisco group Grillade and rock his grown man anthem from the tape that made him famous. Less than two years ago, a collaboration of this kind was probably an afterthought, now it’s available courtesy of Yours Truly for our viewing pleasure.
Change is good.
