I’m somewhat thrown by these recent Dr. Dre leaks. The only plausible ideas are that the label is placing the songs out as bait to stir the fishes and garner attention or a culprit managed to sneak in and crack Dre’s infamous vaults, slinking away with tracks to share with the Net. Whatever the case, there’s no middle ground to be found when a new track from the Rev. Dr. randomly pops up. Either it is to be lauded or loathed, so let’s cut to the chase. Shady’s verses? Thumbs up. Passionate, personal and rapid-fire. The beat and production? Not on par at all.
I did discover that Liz Rodrigues is not a random lady with a porn star moniker picked to play a singer. Actually, she’s the leading voice in an outfit called The New Royales and made a few Hip-Hop appearances before. Learn something new daily and you’ll never get old.

Listen — Dr. Dre Feat. Eminem & Liz Rodrigues – “I Need A Doctor” (Prod. by Alex Da Kid)

Have the aliens landed? 2 x Dre, Jay Elec and Bad Meets Evil tracks in one week!
i think Dre’s grandkid made the beat.
beat sounds nothing like a dre beat. more like a eminem/rihanna/dude from england beat. yes? no?
The mere fact Detox tracks are finally leaking is sorta unreal.
Fleatox coming soon…
BTW – This overwrought Recovery reject is cheeks.
Dre needs better better ghost producers…and new ghost writers.
Sounds sorta incomplete though and given Dre’s rep for being a perfectionist, I find it hard to believe this melodramatic tripe can possibly be on the real Detox.
this might sound good if it was mastered and tweaked a bit…i like ems verses and the chorus…i feel like dre is just putting weird sounds into his music so it sounds like hes doing something different than what he usually did lol
Alex da Kid produced it lol poor dre
How do you have a song on Detox that was produced by someone other then Dre?There wasn’t even a co-produced in fromt of Alex Da kid’s credit.
So Dre doesn’t rhyme & now he doesn’t produce either?
Dr. Dre has become Diddy with two left feet & a horrible fashion sense.
If you couldnt tell Em wrote Dre’s verse you dont know what your listening to, and they are “leaks” to all the perfectionist mega rapper critics
Fleatox coming soon…
=====================================================================
Fleatox will come out before Detox. lol
If you couldnt tell Em wrote Dre’s verse you dont know what your listening to

Of course I knew it was Eminem who wrote Dre’s verse.
That’s my point.
If it’s gonna sound so obviously like Eminem, he might as well spit the 16 himself. Especially if he’s gonna sound so poor reciting it. Reminded me of Diddy spitting Pharaoh Monch’s lyrics on that Press Play album. Laughable.
Well that was awful.
More ‘kush’, less ‘this’.
Dr. Dre has become Diddy with two left feet & a horrible fashion sense.

hey i think his nautica sweaters are pretty dope…NOT.
0 for 2. colour me unimpressed.
dre is so screwed. Jesus Christ could produce Detox at this point and no one would care.
I remember when I wrote a song for Detox over a Wall$treet beat but it ended up leaking before any moves could be made to it… As a matter of fact my song was the first to leak out of all the leaks… just google (Prophet Its Like That) well on another note heres my album while you wait for detox!!!
My album Before the Ink Dries is now available for free down load on http://www.Prophet860.com!!!! It has production from Wall$treet, Tone Beatz, Craig King, Big Krit, Spunk Bigga, Heist, Tom Slick and many more…
Industry cosigns include Lenny S, DJ Clue, Don Cannon, Jim Jonsin, Cool and Dre, Sha Money XL and many more… I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears in to this so please take the time to listen…. BEFORE THE INK DRIES – http://www.PROPHET860.COM
This is cute. I like the tribute to Dre “I need a doooctor. ” “You’ve been gone for so looong”. very cute. However, the song sucks. The beat is WAY too pop-y as is the lead singer. I think the hook is alright as far as writing goes, but get a Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Chrisette Michelle.. Shit even Amy Winehouse maybe. This chick is NOT suited for a new Dre track.
Timbaland did with Shock Value what Dr. Dre is/was supposed to do with Detox. It’s a wrap for this album. It’ll sell, it’ll have singles in heavy rotation on the radio, but there’s nothing remarkable or outstanding about that. Detox is going to be a bust.
Dre’s verse is weak. Didn’t provide the same energy as EM. He sounds uncomfortable rapping.
this is emotional!
Sounds like Dr. Dre is guilty of malpractice lol
Wow, heads are writing off Andre Young and I bet a few industry people are catching feelings over it lol
Oh well
Industry folk aint paying my bills so… detox is the Black “Chinese Democracy”… Ask axl how long folk will wait.
at this point Detox could cure addictions and I prolly still wouldn’t buy it.
Dre is like Floyd Mayweather.
Both have a reputation, proven track record, and legacy to protect.
Dre putting out a subpar Detox album is like Gayweather catching the L of all Ls by fighting Pacquiao.
lol, “Dreweather”
Dreweather is about to be Pacquiao’d
5411 Reeboks >>> Detox
They should just go on and make another N.W.A. album.
On second thought…maybe not. Some things are better left as is
@Bigga: LOL! I got those 0.99 T-Pain bangers on deck, I’m heading to the studio tonight to lay down some vocals.
I havwen’t listened to this yet, but I just wanted to point out the last Dr/Eminem song I heard from Relapse release was ASS.
So, unless this is SUPER-nice….and thats the consensus…i dont expect it to be good at all.
Good Lord. This is just terrible. What a waste of time and talent.
It’s not that bad….it’s also a throwaway from Recovery.
maybe i have a gullible ear…but i kinda liked it… the sound lyrics and concept..
i was expecting to get a good laugh at this one but it actually was ok. Tough luck tho following up The Chronic 2001..
Idk why everyone is crying. I liked it. I may be 7 or 8 years too late but I appreciate it. And to all the naysayers, Detox will drop before the new T.I. or Young Dro.
It’s not as bad as all that – it slots nicely into todays pop rap landscape. Although rapping a verse written by someone else on a track produced by someone else doesn’t exactly lead me to believe that this is an artist at his creative peak.

beat by Alex Da Kid
okay yes dre does suck now. but em killed it and everyone knows that. hes killing almost anything he touches. this should just be a song for eminem cause when dre came in it kinda ruined it.
This song doesn’t sound mastered and i still love it.
This song sounds like it was gonna be on Relapse 2 but didn’t
make it to Recovery.
Em’s verses > E-critics.
It’s good… but nowhere near as good as it should be, considering the album is 12 years in the making. I’d rather have Alex da Kid produce than somebody like Drumma Boy or Lex Luger, but I agree Dre should be producing damn near every song on here. And Em had too much facetime, this is more like Em feat. Liz & Dre.
THAT WAS COOL
me, i just love this track…
