Let’s get one thing straight: Derrick Rose is playing at an MVP level right now and is by far one of the more exciting players in the league. The best part about his game is that we’ve got well over a decade to witness it mature. If Carmelo is smart, this is the team he’s working behind the scenes to take his talents to.
But D-Rose – like Blake, Durant, Kobe, LeBron and others – is a highlight waiting to happen. Case in point this past weekend’s game against the Sacramento Kings. The pick and roll worked to perfection and by the time fellow one-and-doner Memphis Tiger Tyreke Evans realized what was going on he had already been turned around and was struggling to keep his balance. All that was missing was that And 1 guy yelling “OH BABY!”
There’s a silver lining in everything however. Tyreke is still a very talented player and, for what it’s worth, at least he didn’t get Andre Miller’d.

Much as I would love the Bulls to get Carmelo, do they really need him? Who is better right now, Melo or Rose? Why not keep Deng as a defense/third scorer instead of giving up him Taj Gibson and draft picks?

yeah, gotta agree with DW here… the boy understands the game. before this year started i said top 2 point guard within 2 years and im sticking by it. The only thing he needs to work on is his jumper.
Yeah rose gets plenty of dimes and he’s getting better at taking over games. If anything he needs to cut down on turnovers and improve his perimeter shooting. Too bad that happened to Evans since he’s a good player.
Derrick is having a great year nonetheless. The Bulls oughta do even better once Boozer gets back and finds his place on the team. He can’t defend for anything but they’ll finally have some post presence once he returns.
@ DW & Panda: Allow me to clarify, I mean pass the ball under pressure as opposed to always trying to drive to the basket. I’ve watched a few games where he could’ve dished the ball to team-mates in positions to make shots, instead he chose to take it himself. He’s still a dope player though.
