Ladies and gentlemen, your Los Angeles Clippers, otherwise known as the sports equivalent to Meg Griffin. For years, SoCal’s desecrated and shunned franchise have occupied the same arena as the Lakers. While Kobe’s gang gets to play with the Staples Center pitch black with all the lights focusing on the court, Michael Olowokandi’s original franchise is forced to operate with the lights on in an arena that resembles more of an open gym than pro basketball. Well, the jokes are over – for now – because the Clip Show has a man whose complete and utter disregard for NBA rims will make even the most diehard fan have Tracae Ellis Ross eyes. That man is second year rookie Blake Griffin.

Last night, Kevin Durant had one of his rare “off games” versus the Clippers. So much so that everyone’s new favorite superstar was forced to take a backseat to the machine that is Griffin. The first dunk was pedestrian by Blake’s standards, but the follow up was ill because spinning off a defender, elevating from one leg to throw it down with authority isn’t exactly a wide open layup. Throughout the season, I’ll be keeping track of B.G.’s assaults on rims nationwide. Why? For one, people love dunks.

And two, by season’s end, the guy might be known as a top three Clipper ever and well on his way to becoming the second best basketball #32 Los Angeles has ever seen.

Let’s play catch up, this was from his very first regular season game a few days ago.
