Two of the top five releases this year hail from the murky “not a mixtape, but not an album either” region – ‘Wolf’s Trunk Muzik and K.R.I.T.’s K.R.I.T. Wuz Here. Now the two previous collaborators are working on a post-tour release entitled The Country Cousins: Trunk Muzik Wuz Here.
“Big K.R.I.T. is another one to look out for,” he told Mixtape Daily. “Honestly, he’s one of my favorite MCs coming up.”
The two are hard at work on a joint project, he revealed.
“We got a mixtape coming out, called The Country Cousins: Trunk Muzik Wuz Here,” he said. “We got four records in already. Be expecting that in the next four to five months. I’m on tour till November, and he’s on tour too. So, once we get off tour, we’re gonna wrap that up and put it out there.”

Man I really hope this project goes down in the next 4-5 months and not 9-12. These are my 2 favorite new artists of the year and 2 of the best projects I’ve heard. Seen Yelawolf twice this year already and gonna see Krit for the 2nd time tonight when the Smokers Club Tour comes through Chicago.
I’m not a huge fan of Yelawolf but this tape has the potential to be really dope.
