I thought “Snow” was the the standout cut on Marcberg.

Aside from “Snow”, nothing really jumps out at you. And for all the nostalgia it conjures, it gets kinda slow at points. I’m a fan of the album but I can see how the purposely dated production could turn some people off.
Margburg joint was fire im still bump it in the tuck every now and then and somebody is all way checking for it. hope he cant come up with a sequel in a year or so

The Cooking Soul remixes (Thank Us Now) are excellent and even they can only manage to elevate Drake’s lame ass to a 3.5, tops.

Sometimes I really doubt the people who run this site.
They promote one of the best new artists in Freddie Gibbs all day who comes with that straight uncut raw shit and then we get is practically a NY version in Roc Marciano and he gets a 3.5 wtf!??
Marcberg imo is one of the best albums of the year. Danny Brown dropped two “great” projects in The Hybrid and DSOM4. Inspectah Deck (it hurts me to say this as a Wu-Tang lifer) dropped one of the worst Wu-Tang related albums, up there with Meth’s “Tical 0: Prequel” and Cappa’s “Yin and Yang” (or whatever it is called).
Read this as I say that for my personal tastes, Macberg was good, not great. Again, for me. Everyone else is entitled to their own opinion. I understand it got its fair share of love, but it didn’t warrant many repeat listens from me.
People gotta understand 3.5 is not a “bad” album. It’s actually a real good album when you think about it.

The Madlib stans say he “killed” the album. I say he ruined the album with those dumb as skits that have nothing to do with the songs. Every time I found myself rockin out to Guilty one or two interludes come on messing the whole vibe of the album up.
