On his day in court, T.I. received 11 months in jail as a result of the Los Angeles arrest that violated conditions of his parole. Looks like helping that suicidal jumper did little to sway the judge who deemed the T.I. “experiment” failed.
Declaring that T.I. “has had about the limit of second chances,” U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr. sentenced the rapper and movie actor to 11 more months in prison for violating his probation. The rapper will begin serving his time at a later date.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., asked the court for leniency.
“I screwed up,” said the rapper, wearing a three-piece gray suit. “I screwed up bigtime, and I’m sorry. I’m truly and sincerely sorry. I don’t want and I don’t need to use drugs anymore. I want them out of my life.”
But Pannell was unmoved. [AJC]

Multitudes of people vouched for this dude the first time that he was arrested, but now I don’t think that he deserves any leniency this time given the charges (getting caught with ecstasy in the whip? C’mon son!). I don’t know if 11 months is reasonable beacause I’m not familiar with US drug laws, or the sentences that given in regard to breaking those laws. Anybody know?

As someone that’s had and currently has legal problems on-deck right now I got no remorse for Tip. I’m doing what I gotta to avoid future trouble. This is such a sad hip hop music news story that rap superstar T.I will be heading back to prison for 11 months. T.I is genuinely one of the hottest rappers in the game. He is such a great perfomer too and T.I`s videos are some of the hottest rap & hip hop music videos out there. But even though Im a huge T.I fan it does not mean that because he is famous that he is above the law. Lets just hope that he learns from this experience and comes out a wiser and more mature individual and also realises his responsibilities as a father and a role model to his children and his young fans all across the world.

in all seriousness, dude should have been smarter. thats the bottom line. he obviously knew which drugs he could take to get around the piss tests. ie ecstasy which only stays in your system a couple days as opposed to weed which takes a few weeks to clear out.

I don’t think anyone is saying they wish t.I. would get more time but that he should. He got the deal of a lifetime two years ago in another situation that he should have gotten wild time on.
