And CyHi… man… that dude is one talented cat. He impresses me at a time when new emcees [not named Jermaine - and a select few others] simply do not. I can say without hesitation that I am already a fan (and that is not the norm for me in Hip-Hop presently when it comes to fresh emcees).
Dude has a gift.

lol I think sometimes the hip hop community can be too critical on a rising star. J.Cole, in my opinion, is far from boring or one track. In his mixtapes he handled a lot of good topics with skill. CyHi is cool, is his mixtape worth a d/l?

I wouldn’t say he’s “better” then J. Cole, but dude can rap & more importantly, he can take his concepts from ideas to complete songs. That’s what makes him standout from the rest of the microwave rappers.
It’s not enough to just string punchlines together. Not for me anyway.
First it was New York then it West now I think its time for Chi and the Mid West to take rap for a min well if nothing else we can save it!

@Cell Check for “What the deck’s Missing Vol. 2″ It had some filler but lyrically it was solid. He got a feature with yelawulf ,”I wish” remix. He stands out in a GOOD Cipher. Star to me.
song is fire and i really like cyhi but i was not impressed by his mixtape that just dropped. he is super dope though. he stands out more on these posse cuts than he does on his own songs imo. but he nice
