It’s funny the kind of expectations that come along with having an Andre Young co-sign. For Dawaun Parker – a disciple of The Doctor and producer behind relatively recent hits from Eminem and Jay-Z – the shadow that’s loomed in front of his career since day one has just doubled in size. Following in the footsteps of his mentor and more recently counterparts like Zaytoven and Nottz, this Grammy-Award-winning producer has decided to bring his rhymes to the forefront.

The first single from Parker’s new EP, The Decision, “Lost” credits the Good Doc with co-producer credits and cleverly bites the logo from the decade’s best prime-time network television show. The music’s quality will be left for you to determine, but the first listen is justified.
