I don’t know what’s better, the fact that GLC brought Sir Mix-A-Lot out of retirement for his lead single, “Clockin’ Lotsa Dollarz,” or that he posted the accompanying video on YouTube by himself. No publicist. No street team. Just the man whose government name is Leonard Harris, promoting a product he believes in, just as if he had never been signed to G.O.O.D. Music many moons ago.

Considering he was—and still is—down, however, I’m going with the former. If I harped on how this talented and under-appreciated artist has ink with one of the most sought-after labels in the business, yet can’t even get enough backing to upload a music video to help push his Love, Life & Loyalty album that drops a little over a month, well…I might just be an angry GLC fan.

Somebody get me one of those awesome, UK flag jackets and I’ll be happy again.
