Not that I actually like this song because I don’t. By now you’re used to us praising B.o.B. but I honestly felt “Magic” was a little too far across the imaginary line of acceptable experimentation in rap and borders on the brink of being Pop, creating a noticeably, out-of-place blemish on The Adventures… Still, I’m all for brothers gettin’ money and stickin’ it to the man so I have to applaud him for receiving Reebok checks as well as a few from adidas for the blatant product placement in this video.

maaan tht whole album is super poppy.thers like mayb 3 rap songs on ther.wit tht bein said y r we still talkn bout genre lines n wht not n music 2day.wit so many artists explorin foreign musical territories ud thnk we’d b blind 2 such restrictions by now.if its a good song its a good song.no mattr how “sugary & unnecessary” it is.i like ths.it does feel a lil ‘extra’ but nonetheless B.o.B created anothr hit.

Most of TAOBR is pretty solid though. Nothin On You and Magic are too pop for me, and I’m not feeling the chick singing the hook on Airplanes, but every other song is legit.
If he needs to throw a couple pop songs in the mix to push some albums, I’m cool with it. I felt like TAOBR was a little too short though. I deleted Nothin On You, Magic and the Eminem-less version of Airplanes, so the album is only 9 tracks for me.

Damn…perfectly said and exactly the way I feel. Been a fan of Bobby Ray since Generation Lost dropped. I realize hes got to get some mainstream followers but those two songs are too much for me…plus i can’t listen to the original Airplanes anymore…don’t get me wrong, B.o.B’s verses are sick but I need to have Em on the remix to balance out the chick on the hook. His flow on this song is awesome but the hook literally kills this song from having any hope of being on any playlist of mine.
I’m pro Bobby Ray, but I hate this song. The kids love it and they definitely pay the bills
