“What if all the songs were in vain
And the dreams that I had never came
And I lost all the blessings I had gained
Woke up in a world that was built upon pain
With an attitude like ‘you ain’t sh!t without fame’
Or quite gifted with good hair or light skinded
Or white pigment with a budget that’s like ‘spend it’
Infatuated with heaven although I like sinnin’
Saved and never claimed to be, but I’m quite Christian
To what extent would I go for ice wrists
Chain necklaces and overzealous b!tches
Excuse my tone, yes I know the difference
In a, woman for self and a jezebel
I ain’t lost, I’m just speakin’ the truth
Some things I’d say even if I wasn’t speakin’ to you
Jay said you gotta learn just to live with regrets
But what happens when regrets is all you got left?
Cause you never gotta fair chance
How can you waltz through life when it’s a square dance?
And the leaders ain’t leadin’ and the preacher sold out
Sittin’ in church like ‘who gon’ save my soul now?’
They tried to tell me that God ain’t real
And a chain of big explosions is why I’m here
And an ape decided he wanted to walk upright
And leave the other apes in the jungle cause he that tight
You got me f!cked up…”
We all live in the same world, most just happen to view it differently. Big K.R.I.T.’s world deals with success, but at what cost? “My Interpretation” is precisely that – his take on the world and ideologies that command it. That’s his best trait though. It takes an immeasurable amount of courage to completely strip yourself of pride and preconceived knowledge on wax. Especially when anyone who presses play can cast judgment, albeit logical or not. The Mississippi native is mastering this oddity one piercing verse at a time.

I’ve seen this guy posted here, but I never actually paid attention to it with all these new cats coming out (Gibbs, Yelawolf, Pill, etc.) But after listening to this, I’ll have to check for his other work.
do not snooze my brother. he’s only getting better and more polished w/each song and proj. he drops.
TSS is the only place where Natasha Bedingfield can be followed by Big K.R.I.T. and it be natural lol.
“and if you got more than a mill in your possession what the FUCK you know bout a recession – this is my interpretation”–that’s my interpretation too…
IMO, K.R.I.T. Wuz Here is the best album so far of 2010. I don’t think it can be called a classic album but his next one may well be.
@gotty I agree he gets better every song hes above the south genre if u ask me
@tarheel
I don’t fault you for your opinion. KWH was an amazing piece of work. Still in heavy rotation to this very day.
Okay, I’m sold. I just listened to KRIT wuz here. No Wheaties is my shit.

bruno, are you really Greums?
Children of the World. enough said.
Gotty – I asked in another post whether Greums and Bruno were related lol.
It’s been a looong minute since I heard a dude as refreshing as K.R.I.T.
At this point, anything dude is on is an automatic listen. Can’t say that about many artists these days. Dude is a rare breed…
Def Jam better not screw this up. Stop putting money in Shyne and invest it in this guy.
Killing it.
@loveman15
I wouldnt say hes above it, Id say hes the torch bearer for that classic mid-nineties southern hiphop sound. That era brought us outkast, goodie mob, ugk, and 8ball & mjg. id say other than krit, the closest you get to that feel is the cunninlynguists
was sleepin on “voices” because of how strong the first half of the project was, but that shit is haunting…
dope!
yes i still listen to KWH on the weekly
i cant call it a classic cuz it did have sum filler tracks but god damn tracks like children of the world,an 2000 an beyond make the the tape better then most albums alone
man krit that new dude loving his production and beats this young man has a ton of talent and some jewels in his music
@gotty
no sir.mynameisJason.i am frm detroit.i love hip hop.!pow
infatuated with heaven although I like sinnin’
Saved and never claimed to be, but I’m quite Christian
^^^^ may be my favorite part of this track right now… i aint a christian, but i understand what he means… KRIT make that powerful music you can relate to, and thats what makes him a great artist.
