With his forthcoming mixtape K.I.D.S. set to drop tomorrow, the anticipation for the Pittsburgh Pirate is at the highest it’s ever been. The last installment of his “Day In The Life” series culminates in speed boat cruise/pool party also known as his “Don’t Mind If I Do” visual.

Looking at the entire situation, two things are clear. Rostrum Records is winning right now and Pittsburgh appears to be an overlooked bed of talent. For the past year, Rostrum has been the label to back Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang movement as it has swelled to near modern day cult status. He’s selling out venues nationwide, gaining fans with each J he sparks, receiving new accolades by the day and doing it all while smoking out every hotel he occupies. And he’s done most of it without “mainstream’s” seal of approval. Now that he appears to be well on his way, they go back to Pittsburgh to re-up with the next up and coming talent from the city.

I’m not trying to jinx the guy, but if this cool ass white boy can translate similar cool ass results like his predecessor then Rostrum Records will have officially snagged the rap game’s version of Cheech & Chong.
