2010 has been a progressive for The Surf Club. They’ve helped spawn records for Macy Gray and Chris Brown, been praised by Drake, helped take over Chicago and had their platinum single performed on music’s biggest stage.

Now the group embarks upon its next order of business – Kent M$ney’s debut project, Becoming. As the latest artist to rise from the Southern California based ensemble, Kent looks to establish himself as the team’s go-to-lyricist. To help accomplish this task, fellow S.C. members Hit-Boy and Chase N. Cashe were tapped as executive producers for the project. Even with the in-house influence, outside calls and favors were indeed placed. Some guy named Boi-1da provides his services on the track on “See What I Did.” Meanwhile, potential rookie of the year candidate, Big K.R.I.T., pulls double duty as producer and guest feature on one of the EP’s standout tracks, “Nothin’ Like Me.”
