Depending who you ask, Ice Cube is the greatest West Coast artist of all time. That may or may not be true, but Doughboy is one of the select rappers to crossover into pop culture with massive success. Even as Craig has drifted more and more into Hollywood, he’s always managed to stay true to the roots that made him a star in the first place: Hip-Hop.
I Am The West is Triple X’s (it’s great this guy has so many names) forthcoming album which has seen its fair share of set backs in its day. Last week, TC liberated the audio of Cube’s ode (somewhat) to one of my favorite drinks of all time. Practicing quick turn around time, here we have the visual. It’s nothing that would spark a N.W.A. reunion, but it is nice to see the veteran begin to get some steam behind this project.
Before I exit stage left, let me make one thing clear. Cube, you’re a legend and I will always respect the hell out of that, but there is no way on Sarah Palin’s green Earth will you make me believe “I ain’t the doctor/This ain’t the patient/This ain’t that n*gga always on vacation/This ain’t no white boy’s rehabilitation” isn’t about Andre and Marshall.
I was born at night, but I wasn’t born last night.

always know who you fuckin wit
Don Mega
Just so we’re clear… Cube is playing the old man in his new movie. It’s a new era, ladies and germs.
I digs.
Dre is the greatest West Coaster IMO, but Cube is either 2 or 3 behind Snoop.
Sooooo I thought Cube & Dre were cool now….. Doughboy needs to work harder on those subliminals lol
NICE KOOL AID PICTURE LMAO
Man, the Cholos love them some Cube out here in Cali.
He “didn’t diss” Dre or Em, but it was about them. He called it “style and grace” in hip-hop.
Yayee Yayee!!!
I think Ice Cube is the only OG rapper/MC that can talk shit about the younger generation and not sound like a disgruntled rapper.
Aye Cell this joint like 3 locations hella B-roll and a few corny color effects and it wasn’t so bad..
The song and the video is the same size
Dre is the greatest West Coaster IMO, but Cube is either 2 or 3 behind Snoop.
^^^^^^^^^^
whil i agree wit u on tht; the chronic n doggystyle wer da 1st albums i ever cared 2buy n 92 & 94 respectively)i guarantee neithr of thm wouldv attaind half da success they hav had ice cube not writtn all thm nwa hits.point blank.all dres funk couldnt help a group of non rappn thugs(eazy, yella & dre) + mc ren witout cube’s lyricism.eazy may hav been da focal point n tht whole movement wit dre providn da soundtrack but cube put it all n words.n made us relate 2 tht shit.i love snoop(but he been on som bs lately) & dre(m.i.a.) but cube is da only 1 of thm who still seemingly has da drive n passion 2 rap.tht really says more thn wht i just said….pow.
And fellow TSS’ers we are witnessing a beef in the making.
I swear it looks like this video was shot right around the corner of my house lol. This is Compton ain’t it?
