As his upcoming mixtape title suggests, Mac Miller might hang around a bunch of K.I.D.S., but this baby-faced boy wonder has the work ethic of a grown ass man. After releasing a video for “Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza” less than two weeks ago and exceeding over 100,000 YouTube hits since, this new recruit to Rostum Records has been putting together his puzzle to success one carefully-placed piece at a time.
His newest addition to the big picture is “Don’t Mind If I Do,” a self-serving self-esteem-builder, based around a sped-up sampling of Owl City’s overplayed sonic serenade, “Fireflies.” Despite it’s uptempo pace and questionable base, this taste of Miller’s music still provides the laid-back attitude his followers have come to expect from the typical Hip-Hop head.

@ the cool: Being around Manhattan, I have become very familiar with hipsters. It is basically people trying so hard to look different that they all look the same. Basically it is like a frat brother, a person who attempts to assimilate multiple facets of popular culture at it’s most “base” form. So they are like a 3rd rate compilation of whatever is “trendy”.
Hipsters are those people who wear those lame ass, oversized personality glasses, walk with a feigned nonchalant attitude, and are the first to gloat when you recently find out about an artist they’ve been listening to for a while.
Typical conversation with a hipster concerning music:
Hipster: “Yeah, I’ve been listening to this artist for a while. I doubt you’ll know anything about him/her”
Me: “I have their entire discography. Shut the fuck up.”
