Nowadays, a person can go months at a time without handling an actual CD. Download a song/album from whatever outlet, extract it to your iTunes, transfer it to the iPod and just like that the entire process of obtaining music can be cut down to 15 minutes depending on your Internet connection. Yup, in a sense, the music industry has “gone green.”

That being said, it’s always nice to go “old school” every now and then and receive a hard copy of a project – especially a mixtape. Before Gotty™ became Twitter-friendly, he was effectively the blog world’s equivalent to Worldwide Wes. Even with him becoming more and more social by the day, he still has those connections with Hip-Hoppers everywhere. When G asks for a t-shirt and a CD of Pill’s 1140: The Overdose, P-I-Double’s people gladly handed over the garment. But they also sent him a bushel of CD’s, which we here at TSS have decided to share with the people.
