Similar to eskay, the Lost Boyz were never my favorite Hip-Hop group. Havoc and P always held the top spot when it came to Queens rhyming partners. So, yeah, that was that. Even still, it is good to see the group (or what’s left of it with Freaky Tah having passed away 11 years ago and DJ Spigg Nice incarcerated) continuing to make music well over two decades in the game.
In “Haaay,” the group’s two remaining members – Mr. Cheeks and Pretty Lou – tackle Sin City and everything it has to offer. The Shy-Tee produced single stands as the first look into their currently untitled fifth studio album. On first few listens, the song hasn’t reached out and smacked me across the face yet, but things can change. However, all you LB fans out there should appreciate the group’s reemergence onto the scene.
I guess I’ll go listen to Legal Drug Money for old times’ sake.

that tape was my shit back in the day!
lol @ this video
looks like they bring the party with them where ever they go
I’d be actin’ a fool right alongside them haha
The party is there. the song is just missing Freaky Tah’s growling interjections.
was never a big fan of these guys…but i used to keep mr. cheeks “lights, cameras, action” on heavy rotation…dont judge me..lol
they shoulda just did themselves a favor and named it a Mr. Cheeks song since everybody seems to miss Freaky Tah so much. Cheeks had flow, still does. Kinda disappointed dude just fell off the map…i enjoyed he and LB’s music.
Honesty question/observation: why yall say “LB wasnt my favorite group” like them niggas was the plague? haahha. Saw that disclaimer damn near on every blog i saw the video posted on today. LB was jammin to me. “wasnt my favorite” either, but it seem like niggas saying it like they were a guilty pleasure. ahahh
^ “politically correct” way to rephrase the shared sentiment:
LB was one of my favorite groups
lol
AYEEEEEE!!!!
look eli porter is back!!! this shit is crazy!!! hes setting the record straight!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xu7q775Ol
front tuck still immaculate!!!
Had Eli spoken a little faster and condensed his “interview” into a short & sweet minute instead of 4 agonizingly long minutes, I’d be a little more geeked, haha
I’m happy to see that he’s doing good though lol
Iron Mic was his “Illmatic” and I kind of doubt he can surpass that LOL

/\ I concur
RIP Freaky Tah.
These dudes had the feel-good songs & jeeps, lex = still in rotation.
legal drug money is the shit. this track is better than i was expecting. not bad at all..!!
Never really liked the LBs but I didn’t dislike them either except Lex Coups Beamerz and Benz I hate that song.
But for me The LB’s/Mr. Cheeks songs I did like were always good because of the guest ex
Music Makes me High Remix F. Canibus and DPG
Beast from the East F. ReDmAn & Canibus
Focus w/ M.O.P.
Super Brooklyn w/ Coco Bros
A Party Ain’t A Party w/ Queen Pen . . . yup Queen Pen
etc
They had a track with Pete Rock that I used to play like crazy, the name escapes me now.
Freaky Tah murder took the heart and soul out of the group. Cheeks tried to carry on; but it wasn’t the same. I still have Legal Drug Money on my MP3 player.
side A of legal drug $$$ (cassette days) was DOPE
love peace & nappiness used to bang too. i played that alot back in the day cuz it sounded lovely comin out of my 4 12″ subs in the trunk

Lol, just being honest, Mo’. They weren’t. They weren’t the plague either. I didn’t jam their music quite often, but I respected their place. And yeah they did have some good songs in their catalog. But they weren’t my favorite lol.
That’s my answer and I’m
@ 500K: perchance “the yearn”?
@ MO G: I always wonder the same thing, people always preface LB posts as if they are embarassed to share their music. I do understand that aspect of it, because their output since all three were together has not been the same.
I have such funny memories of friends older brothers bringing me to practice only bumping Legal Drug Money or Love,Peace, and Nappiness as their L-smoking soundtracks.
The Lost Boyz were one of my favorite groups. These niggas had bangers (lex, coups, beamerz and benz, renee, music makes me high, lifestyles of the rich and shameless, my crew, beasts from the east). LB4Life R.I.P. Freaky Tah and what up Guy Brew.
