As a thanks for a donation, McGruder* sent over a candy bar on behalf of the Young Reezy Fun-Raiser Corporation. As a “for profit” group, a portion of the proceeds go towards “keeping gangs and guns away from animals.”

Actually, this week’s Boondock’s episode, “The Fund-Raiser,” centers around Riley’s fundraising efforts. The young hustler takes over the school’s chocolate-fueled money campaign, floods the block with sugar and then an all out turf war ensues. Street Sweet life folks. Watch the trailer here. As an extra, this was a dope dope mural right outside the door of my hotel in NYC. In fact, it was the first thing I noticed as the driver was preparing to pull in front of the place. I made him stop the car short, grabbed my own bags and pulled the camera out to snap a pic.
