Bay Arrrrreeeeaaaaaaaaa! The fine folks at Red Bull are turning the dial to 11 this Friday as they make a stop at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco for their fourth annual Big Tune 2010. Twelve local producers slap and slump their way through the brackets, with the winners being decided by the crowd. Cue the inner Bruce Buffer for the main event: DJ Toomp and Nottz. Yes, you read that correctly, the brain behind Kanye’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and T.I.’s “What You Know” against the slick hands that pieced together another Yezzy banger in “Barry Bonds” and M.O.P’s “Home Sweet Home.”

Put it this way, I don’t really mess with Hip-Hop shows that tough, but the emotion and energy put out at the Big Tune events is authentic and inspiring. The up and comers have a lot to prove, and the vets get to show sides of their discography that might not always get shine. Definitely not one to miss if you are in a hundred mile radius.

Again, June 4th (Tommorow) at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. Doors open at 8:00 pm and the speakers will be rumbling until late into the night. Denver, Seattle, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Detroit keep be patient, Big Tune is touching down in your city soon.

Check out Red Bull Big Tune for the details, registration and RSVP.
