If you’ve ever found yourself wondering why we support these guys from The Force so heavy, it’s mainly because they can rap. But what looms underneath the the surface with each of them is not only a dedication to the culture but also to their community. Having met the most of them, I’d be pressed to say any of them is insincere in their beliefs. And while I don’t know any of their financial situations, I assume they don’t have a bigger pot to piss in than any of the rest of us. Still, they’ll be releasing physical copies of this CD – a collection of their singles – and the proceeds of the sales with go to helping misfortunate & homeless children in St. Louis with the help of Patches Clothing, Ben & Jerry’s, & Molina Healthcare. The greatest thing to come out of the NBA Playoffs this year has been Ron Artest in front of a live mic. He made Craig Sager rep for Queensbridge Projects then thanked his psychiatrist after game 7. But all of that was just the appetizer for the entree – a meal that, I imagine, includes turkey necks and Grape drink – that was the awkwardness of the entire Artest squad bombarding Hannah Storm for the post-game interview. With Creative Control Stalley took a slight detour to stop by his alma mater while on the way down to Columbus for his show at Skully’s today. Checking in with his old basketball coach, he took a brief moment to reminisce on his humble beginnings and accomplishments on the hardwood. In the 10 years since graduation, I think I’v been back to my old school a maximum of three times & they all probably came within my first year out. Basically, this hodgepodge of 4.0 hipsters had a think tank to enhance the visuals for “Working” that ended up consisting of ripping the three-footer all day, while repeatedly watching Chronicles of Narnia, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory and Being John Malkovich. Looking at this picture, three impulse reactions occurred to me – eventually, doesn’t look good and hell no. It may seem years away, but Tunechi will be home in time to watch the Thanksgiving Day NFL games. Freeing ALL prisoners just isn’t a good idea and with this latest revelation, it looks like Boosie may never experience freedom again, as we originally hinted at a few days ago. A sad story all around, Bad Azz was formally indicted on first degree murder-for-hire charges on Terry Boyd.

Rapper Lil Boosie (real name Torrance Hatch) has been indicted for first degree murder. Lil Boosie was indicted by a East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury early evening Thursday for the October 2009 shooting murder of Terry Boyd. According to the district attorney, Lil Boosie may receive the death penalty according to a district attorney. The rap star is already incarcerated at Dixon Correctional Institute.

Realizing he’s either facing the death penalty or life behind bars, lil’ Marlo is probably telling everything under the sun. The D.A. in this case – Hillar Moore III – also said investigators were looking to see if Boosie was involved in at least five other slayings. Knowing what I know about the legal system (no Alfamega), if they’re “looking” to see if you were involved in anything, chances are they already have enough evidence to do so. It’s only a matter of time before they drop the hammer. Still, it doesn’t stop there.

Hatch, a girlfriend, a former Dixon Correctional Institute guard and an inmate also were indicted on drug charges that allege they conspired to bring contraband – codeine, marijuana pills and synthetic marijuana – into the prison.

Smuggling drugs in the bing isn’t going to help the case either, but likely the least of his worries right now. The sad thing is, this just isn’t “rap sh#t.” This type of situation happens more often than many think, but never makes the news. It’d be easy to crack a joke or a witty phrase, but unfortunately people’s lives are in the balance (and six more lost theirs). What’s even more depressing is the comment that was left in regards to the story.

I SAY BUILD A WALL AROUND BATON ROUGE AND ALL US LAW ABIDING CITIZENS MOVE OUT. LEAVE IT TO THE CHIEF, SHERIFF, MAYOR AND LOCAL JUDGES. THEN THROW A BOMB OVER THE WALL AND KISS THEIR BUTTS GOODBYE. BATON ROUGE HAS BECOME THE MURDER AND DRUG CAPITAL OF THE USA.

Best believe the prosecution already has this statement drafted for their opening arguments, perhaps in a more professional tone though.
