You probably heard of Miguel through U-N-I. If you don’t know who J. Cole is, smack yourself. In an effort to mend the lines of Hip-Hop and R&B without pasting them with syrup, “All I Want Is You” was born and the video soon followed.
Me personally? I’d rather spin “Who Dat” a few more times after watching but with Salaam Remi on the track, this does make for a smooth alternative.

Miguel was dope on “Below the Heavens” too.
are yall gonna put that new j. cole ” the last stretch ” on here ?
This is pretty good…
Then it’s “on to the next one” “on to the next one” Hard to move on when you always regret one..
coppin every copy of Drake’s album outta BB

If both Blu and J. Cole worked with Jontel, does this mean we can expect a Blu x J. Cole record anytime soon?
Fuck, I hope so. The two best in the game right now.
I tried to sign Miggy around… three years ago I would say…
But Jive inked him the day BEFORE I got the offer done.
He is one enormously talented cat, vocalist, and an amazing arranger. As good as this record is… it does not even begin to show his diversity – trust. This dude bends genres like it is nothing and it does not sound forced like so many others.
(It kind of bothers me that most deem J. Cole the main draw to the track when Migs has put in so much quality work for years now – he has penned songs for the best in the game… all vewy vewy quietly ©Mr. Fudd. Do not get me wrong, Cole does his thing and his verses are dope… but if you knew Miguel’s history and talent… you would be scratching your head)
Co-sign everything TRA just said. I’ve know Migs even longer, the depth of his talent confounds me. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t even be as close to the game as I am. ALL of the artists, producers, promoters I know, I met just off knowing him. WE been waiting a long time. Now, if only those crackers would play fair…
anyone know where i can find the come up with no dj drops?
I would buy two copies of Miguel’s album if he would decides to rerelease the full length version of “Hero”
I did A&R for Warner Bros. records in the UK and New York years ago. Trust me if i was an A&R person now and Miguel was unsigned, i would definitely try to sign him. I think he has talent and diversity. a true artist. His deliverance of his work is also a great quality and it does not hurt at all that he is a great looking young man. Smart as well. J. Cole adds the finishing touches to a bumpin song and track. They compliment each other on this track. I wish both of them great success. Jive records don’t sleep on this talent. Refresihing.
