Rapper Lil Boosie (real name Torrance Hatch) has been indicted for first degree murder. Lil Boosie was indicted by a East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury early evening Thursday for the October 2009 shooting murder of Terry Boyd. According to the district attorney, Lil Boosie may receive the death penalty according to a district attorney. The rap star is already incarcerated at Dixon Correctional Institute.

Realizing he’s either facing the death penalty or life behind bars, lil’ Marlo is probably telling everything under the sun. The D.A. in this case – Hillar Moore III – also said investigators were looking to see if Boosie was involved in at least five other slayings. Knowing what I know about the legal system (no Alfamega), if they’re “looking” to see if you were involved in anything, chances are they already have enough evidence to do so. It’s only a matter of time before they drop the hammer. Still, it doesn’t stop there.

Hatch, a girlfriend, a former Dixon Correctional Institute guard and an inmate also were indicted on drug charges that allege they conspired to bring contraband – codeine, marijuana pills and synthetic marijuana – into the prison.

Smuggling drugs in the bing isn’t going to help the case either, but likely the least of his worries right now. The sad thing is, this just isn’t “rap sh#t.” This type of situation happens more often than many think, but never makes the news. It’d be easy to crack a joke or a witty phrase, but unfortunately people’s lives are in the balance (and six more lost theirs). What’s even more depressing is the comment that was left in regards to the story.

I SAY BUILD A WALL AROUND BATON ROUGE AND ALL US LAW ABIDING CITIZENS MOVE OUT. LEAVE IT TO THE CHIEF, SHERIFF, MAYOR AND LOCAL JUDGES. THEN THROW A BOMB OVER THE WALL AND KISS THEIR BUTTS GOODBYE. BATON ROUGE HAS BECOME THE MURDER AND DRUG CAPITAL OF THE USA.

Best believe the prosecution already has this statement drafted for their opening arguments, perhaps in a more professional tone though.
