Janelle Monáe isn’t human. First, she dropped an album that has been on my playlist non-stop for the last month or so. Now, she’s spitting hot 16′s over drum patterns reminiscent of “I Got A Story To Tell” and going neck and neck with B.o.B and Lupe Fiasco. I know this is blasphemy in some circles, but a classic album and a knack for spitting dope verses means that Janelle is creeping up on that hallowed “Lauryn” territory.
If I’m lyin’, I’m flyin’. I’m doing neither. Instead, I’m tippin’ on the tightrope.

Yeah, Janelle does it all. She’s not quite at the Lauryn-level spitting-wise, but in a concert, Janelle performs *rings* around the Ghost of Lauryn Past. She’s one of the most talented and energetic performers I’ve ever seen.

mr. favorite album is cee los imperfections lol. youre fruity. i can tell. lupe always trash to me,BoBs verse was nothing special…and i dont wanna hear this chick rap. ‘unpredictable like the weather’ wooooooooooooooo…..i get it,this is what you play this when you go to the gay club. basslines dope,thats about it.
