Chocolate or vanilla. Beatles or Stones. Pac or Biggie. Of all the contentious match-ups, perhaps the greatest in my circle is D’Angelo or Bilal. Not “who is better?” but rather “who would you put on your album?” And my answer is classically whomever is at the forefront of my mind with new music.
Bilal has been making a good go of it lately, reminding us that cliches such as “patience is a virtue” and “good things come to those who wait” exist for moments and music like this. I’m still waiting patiently for D’Angelo to work his voodoo again, but I’m glad the wait is over for this first-born-second voice to be born again.
Congratulations, Bilal. With this song you have secured a feature on my forthcoming, “Jay Walker and The Pedestrians” imaginary album.

Bilal’s set to release Airtight’s Revenge soon via Plug Research.

This is nice. Haven’t heard much from Bilal, but this is the type of sound I’m trying to get into. Any dope songs or album(s) I should check out from him?
Probably in the minority here but D’Angelo > Bilil. Just can’t fuck wit Devil’s Pie.
@Terrail, D’Angelo is in a league of his own, but Bilal is pretty good too.
But he’s dress like a foolio inglaciers in that pic, silly billy!
A recent interview today with Marshall gave light to the rumor of a possible “Recovery” Double Album. After giving his thoughts on the positive feedback to “Recovery”, Em stated: “After I decided to scrap the sequel (to Relapse 2), I obviously didn’t completely get rid of the previous tracks I recorded because of the huge effort from a lot of people and, I feel like what’s the point of never releasing work that my fans would appreciate?” Mathers then continued by explaining how fans could get their hands on the previously unreleased songs, “Included in every copy of Recovery purchased in (stores), is a ticket to enter a code on 7/6/10 that will allow the customer to go online on my website to download 14 tracks that were originally meant for Relapse 2 and, there is definitely a lot of anticipated guests and great producers on that album so, I felt like its a good idea to get that out there.” So, it’s now official, “Relapse 2″, the album fans thought would never happen, is going to be available with every purchase of the “Recovery” CD.
What has debt recovery got to do with Bilal, holmes?
whats ur faggot ass gotta do with TSSbitch?
damn Nottz and Bilal did their thing on this. especially Nottz. most creative r&b song ive heard in a while

mmmm not bad not bad,but i expect even better in the future cuz this dudes beeeeen dope….good shit. oh and D’Angelo hands down,Bilal has to drop a couple certified classics before he can mentioned in the same breath.
Paw is a fuckin’ cornball
This song is fiyahhh….Bilal has always been a genius…luv his look, quirky and edgy, sounds a lot like Bilal. Love for Sale is the most slept on Album, it got leaked yet everyone i know has it, can’t wait for is official album to drop! Congrats Bilal!
@Dirk, very good, I’m quaking in my boots (ehem ehem) but as already mentioned there was an Eminem post, this is the Bilal post.
@creedthoughts, yeah check ‘first born second’ it’s pretty good. Bilal is more notable for his guest appearances and production work, I believe he is affiliated with the Soulquarians. If you like this sort of sound then also check out Dwele and Steve Spacek (if not already copped of course).
d’angelo no question was this ever an actual debate i didn’t even know other people listened to bilal
I used to say D’Angelo was better than Bilal. Back in the days of “Voodoo” I actually *disliked Bilal. Nowadays I don’t really feel like they’re the same thing. Vocalist wise, Bilal has much more range, control, his falsetto is a bit more controlled/cleaner and he has a pretty profound ability to mimic instruments with his voice [don't believe me please listen to "Sometimes" at the 6:16 mark where dude literally starts singing in key with the saxophone on the instrumental]. I love D’angelo – but he’s never displayed the ability to mimic an instrument to my knowledge.
D’Angelo, kind of has this general package thing going, his overall presence as a performer and ability to play the piano, guitar, etc. kinda of makes him a different bag of tricks. Bilal, is very free jazz, loose form, improvisational style. THey’re just different. If I were to say an all around performer: hands down D’angelo. If I had to say vocalist: hands down Bilal. People tend to lump them together in all that neo-soul bullshit, cause they’re not your usual Usher, R Kelly type of artist. On the other hand both are doper than Maxwell, IMO, but if you ask a female I’m sure you’d hear different.
You wouldn’t compare Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye. You wouldn’t compare Mingus and Miles or Biggie and Rakim – don’t compare them. Give them both respect damnit!
About my use of effects. ghd heating only takes 30 seconds, super-fast, black 5 minutes, GHD does not hurt after I repeatedly hair, hair has not changed, and the black iron hair side was dry. The most The key is GHD ceramic material used, not to hurt the hair. GHD can only head a very straight hairpin, super easy. most proud of is the great ghd hair straighteners can also be used, the effect super-natural, in time of interest MM can watch a video on the GHD website, I have not introduced here, but I get after the people are like paper, the only drawback is that time is not maintained very long.
Friends have used CHI, T3 came over tried to prove that cheap ghd straighteners is indeed the king straight world, Oh, this is the winter solstice, wish you happy ~ ~ chenmiaomiao071016
