The black 587′s are nice and the 996′s are cool. But, in my humble opinion, a New Balance should be grey-based. Overlooked and understated grey. Dust bunny grey. Therefore, these grey 998′s fixed up to look sharp with navy & a nice shade of green incorporated are prime time kicks. Still understated, but with enough pop to make them a head-turner.
The 996 and 587’s are both $109.00 and the 998’s are $120, very limited runs are available now at the David Z’s flagship store in NYC.

Those 998′s are real fresh, I very much so agree that New Balance, in my mind, has become synonymous with a nice gray base color. They just do it correctly and well, blues and purples go so well contrasting with the “dust bunny grey” as you say.
I asked this on another post but I think it was too late, has anyone used “eilatan.com” to buy sneakers? They have some pretty serious sales on some stuff I’ve been wanting to snatch up for a while, but most of the reviews I have read are kind of iffy about them.
haven’t heard of that site but if reviews are iffy, that’s a drawback for me. if you’re deadset on trying them, use a credit card (not a debit card), that way it’s easier to dispute and get your bread back.

hmmm how cani word this i remember vivdly when i was in college and we used to wear all the new balances its must was a dc thing and still is but dudes from other places would always say why yall wearing them and try to clown but now i see they like to be down man dc the home of the new balance and now everybody likes them call us the orginators lls but they are proper as a matter of fact i got mine on now and yeah i know u saying they aint even out yet well they are down here
