Remember back when Rap wasn’t so accessible? Just the other day “Go DJ” & “Over” played back to back on Sirius, but as soon as “Call Me” came, my girl was trying to change the channel. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad the art form has evolved to the point it is today, but I miss the harder edge that used to accompany a track. Some artists have learned to walk that fine line of hard edge mixtapes & mainstream albums, pleasing both sides of their fan bases. What’s missing are the ones who haven’t had to make that decision yet.

So while the L.E.P. Bogus Boys aren’t lyrical mavens to be confused with Joell or others, their specific brand of music is a welcome breath of fresh air in today’s current climate. Whether they become legends in two games or head back home, something tells me they’ll be alright. Their story isn’t any thing we haven’t heard before, but when they say “If Rap don’t work, It’s back to the projects…” you kinda have to believe them at this point.
