It’s a shame Wale’s heartfelt, Ronson-produced letter to Obama and Pac didn’t make the final cut of Attention Deficit, as it surely would’ve added at least half a Cig or so to the album’s rating. But Young Chris uses the opportunity to resurrect his former Allido brethren’s loosie for his own personal reflection on forgotten love and family, providing further proof of his expanding lyrical boundaries. And as the track rides out, the incomparable John Mayer flexes his guitar chops—albeit subtly—which is never a bad idea in its own right.

I went back and read got that Wale letter. SMH at niggas saying Wale lied about being for DC. He’s from my county in MD (PG County), and he always represented such. Only reason why he calls himself the ambassador for DC hip-hop is because DC and PG County are so close that we consider DC our neighbors.

@cush it’s not being released as an album! It’s still a mixtape although you got to actually pay for it rather then getting it for FREE! It’s a real smart move for Chris cause then he actually makes money on something other then just shows! Yea I would rather have it for FREE myself as well but if I can’t I don’t mind supporting one of my favorite MC’s by purchasing it! Although I don’t really mess with iTunes so I might just wait till they have physical copies to cop!

When something has “2″ in the name, I expect it come in similar form. OB4CL2 was an album sequel another album, BP1 BP2 & BP3, etc. When he started leaking stuff for Network 2, people assumed it was another mixtape because 1) he didn’t say otherwise 2) it has Cannon’s name on the cover and 3) the first Network was a mixtape. If he had promoted it otherwise, I think he’d have a much better chance at getting decent sales. Now, fickle ass rap fans are gonna be up in arms screaming “WTF I THOUGHT THIS WAS A MIXTAPE! I WANT THIS SHIT FOR FREEEEEEEEE!” [/azizraaaaaaandyvoice].
