Not much to say here that wasn’t said previously. After his long, public battle with cancer, Guru aka Keith Elam has passed away. No official statements but Premo’s Twitter pretty much gave all the confirmation fans need.
Our condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for years of music and memories, brother.

Rest in peace, Guru. Without a doubt one of the best to ever do it. I, like I’m sure a lot of you were hoping that he pulled through. I had no idea it was cancer. Well, the Creator willing, hopefully he’s waaay “Above The Clouds” now and free from pain. I had the chance to kick it with him back in 1999 when “Full Clip” dropped and GangStarr performed at the rock and roll hall of fame. Mad cool to say the least. As for Solar, man, you have to be one of the biggest pieces of shit the game has ever seen. No one believes that Guru composed that letter. The same way you were exposed for tweeting as Guru, cats see through your plastic ass once again. Karma will deal you a hand you won’t be able to play through soon enough. You will never get the respect of the real hip-hop world. Be thankful Guru gave your bum-ass the little bit of shine he did. (heads out of this post and pours out some liquor bumping “In Memory Of”)
