I’ll keep it one hunnit. Thank Me Later has no buzz. I’m willing to go as far and bet most fans going to these concerts don’t even know the name of the album. But that’s not going to stop The Great Drizzle from spreading love the Young Money way with the power of song.
As in singing. With Kanye providing a backdrop which is more rhymthic blues than the instant rap expectations that pop up in your mind when hearing these two names together, Drake is looking to croon his way to #1.
Thank him on June 15th, 2010 if you’re feeling it.

Download — Drake – “Find Your Love” (Produced By Kanye West)
[poll id="12"]

If i cant hear ‘Ye on new raps, i my as well listen to his new beats.
Sounds 808′s and Heartbreak-ish.
Craig David does this kind of stuff a lot better…
I’d rather listen to the instrumental than this.
Is it me or is Drake going downhill since he joined YM?
I looked exactly like that cover art when I heard this joint.
*scratches head*
Now, exactly what is this song about?
new lupe fiasco single “lazers” > new drake single “find your love”
@thecool11o3
It is not just you.
I was sent the record and instantly thought, “this does not sound like typical Kanye.” With Yeezy’s name attached, I immediately thought of something more phenomenal.
The problem to me is (and I have said it a few times prior) Drake going to “hitmakers” and the like for his retail album. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
SFG was a smash. I am all for growth, but stick to what works until you stop growing and fans stop buying. And what worked were 40, Boi-1da, and D10. Period. No one else.
If you go to Timbo and Kanye you get a signature and familiar sound. Not taking anything away from those guys because I believe they are some of the best producers in the game… but people want to hear great music that is new and fresh in sound. And unfortunately, he is regressing in that aspect.
I like the song – I do not love it but I like it. Now compared to SFG? A mixtape? He should have stuck with his crew – nothing wrong with that. When you create music as good as SFG, there is no need to venture out of your circle.
(Plus his budget would have been easier to recoup)
In short (lol – looking at the above)… he is feeling too much pressure to succeed presently and it is showing.
But he still is doing it well.

====================================
Especially when Kanye is giving out scraps from the 808′s & Heartbreak table.
maybe he wanted Sade to sing it :)
;)
Wishing he spit just a teenie bit on this
Em had the greater new track between he and Drake.
With that said, I’m not mad at Drake trying to get that #1 radio hit.
I’ll also fathom a guess and say that Drake will sell at least 250k first week. Just off of being Drake.
I like it!
It’s cool. If he did all the singing on 808s, I’d have listened to that shit more than once. I’m not sure I hear a hit though…
I’m not sure I hear a hit though…
=====================================
I’m sure I don’t hear a hit. Definitely nothing along the lines of Successful or Best I Ever Had.
any1 got an instrumental…
This is your savior, not mine.
@thecool11o3
where’s a new lupe single?
it’s straight…not horrible…
but he needs to quit trying to be both a singer and a rapper. Either rap and mix in singing…or sing and mix in rap. Don’t release one single rapping and the next a full blown R&B song. Singing voice is decent at best so I’d go with the former.
J.Cole – Who Dat shits on this. Drake might be getting too comfortable or he might be trying too hard.
“stop trying to hit me and hit me!” Morpheus
Just record some fire tracks and put the album out fuck the bullshit…people not gonna buy it anyway so no excuse not to go hard.
Sounds 808’s and Heartbreak-ish.
————————————–
Over in one…
Pretty much all that needs to be said, was said with that one comment.
Forgetting the song… as I already have… as far as the beat goes, does this mean Kanye is still in his 808′s groove? Or has he moved on and this is one of the final gasps before we start hearing where he’s going next (production-wise). Know it’s beating a dead horse, but I miss the old soul-sampling Kanyeezy…
RMF…
When did rappers start singing 100% of 80+% of their songs?
If I wanna listen to someone sing, I’ll put on some Dwele, Devaughn or sumn.
*Bleh*
This makes me want to wear snug fitting nautical-inspired attire & boat shoes with slim pants rolled up to my calves, with a sweater tied around my neck
NOT
While Drake dickriders were going nuts for the 808s & Heartbreaks-Lite faux-soul of Sprite’s newest spokesperson late last night, I was more enthralled with one Otis Redding
Since we’re tastemakers here, what we really should’ve done is heap praise on this shit to throw off the scent and gas the label up into thinking more of this caca should be on the album
and THIS is why this nigga is trash….
What’s up with rap these days, shits getting so weak. 17 yr old females will digg this, other than that it’s a big yawn from me. Maybe it’s cuz I grew up in the 90′s and was spoiled with all the dopeness.
Drake is gonna go platinum of teenage girls and Wayne dick riders.
Un-Thinkable > This
obviously, thank me later isn’t just your typical rap album. it’s a lil bit more than that, touching a few more bases than just rap..ie: the adventures of bobby ray. just take it for what it is people. i’d much rather hear what drake is doing than say a jae millz, nicki, tyga, whoever and whoever off of that label of 3 stars (wayne, drake, nicki) and bench players
i get that people want him to rap non stop on his album, but if you have so many parts to yourself, why would you hold those back for the fans that may want to hear it?
@ Real Anonymous
Okay, cool lol. I thought I was a loner b/c everybody I know sticks to Drake like crazy glue. True, Best to stick to what he knows and this isn’t what he know’s.
Back to everybody’s favorite emo-rapper. . .
He definitely needs to learn how to not “get high off the success and faded off the fame” b/c well, shit like this comes out. Discarded “scraps from the 808’s & Heartbreak table.”
My advice: Leave if the album is pushed back once again and pull off a Curren$y!

Easily.
I say it every time that song is mentioned but Drake shoulda held on to that joint.

Well, the thing with B.o.B. (Bobby Ray) is that he appears to be a well-rounded overall musician, in addition to his rhyme skills. Drake’s a very good emcee, but he’s far from great. He still needs to focus on that, and really cement that beyond his core audience (females ranging from 16 to 30). As a singer, he honestly isn’t all that great. Not for the pop/r&b croonin’ shit he usually tries to do. he ain’t on a level of Phonte from Little Brother/Foreign Exchange when it comes to rapping and singing. And while Aloe Blacc I’d say is just above decent when it comes to rhyming, he blows cats outta the water when he sings.
And while I’m sure Drake has/had genuine desire to work with cats like Timbo and Kanye, I bet if he wanted to work almost exclusively with lesser known producers, the label would shut him down like “whoa”.

Thats why he should go the indie route. Lately alotta artists are doin they own thing, b/c the labels demand too much.
Perfect example, look at Wale and his debut album. They fucked him over because they expected sales to be low and shipped less albums because of that idiotic idea.
Yall know Baby is in his ear telling him, “Lissen hear plaebowyee, you need a Kanyzzee banga; and while you here whip me up a hook for my next single brrrrrrrr!”
The song is alright and it will get him radio spins. I do agree that he should have kept unthinkable for himself; but I read that A. Keys is going to make it her next single so that will be good for 1st WheelChair Last Name Jimmy!!
Disappointing. I actually consider myself a Drake fan, but I hate damn near everything post-SFG. He’s no better than an average pop artist now.
I can’t really blame him though, what’s the last rap album that did well sales-wise? Can’t blame an artist for wanting a big check. All I know is my $10 are most likely staying in my wallet.
Pretty emo, BOB is his biggest competition right now.
Hella catchy tho, my chick will love it.
I will get it sent for free (hard copy – disc), but I will still cop off of the strength that he gave something as brilliant (IMO) as SFG away to any and all for no profit.
Aubrey could have tried to put a price on that album but he did not. And I respect that a lot because I see people with .5% of his talent trying to get cash out of me for something that they should not even upload for download.
Just because you put a “mixtape” (and I use the term very loosely) up for download and have your boy Photoshop you a cover, does not mean that you have earned the right to call yourself an artist – or charge me for a pressing or digital download.
(Let that marinate)

“And while I’m sure Drake has/had genuine desire to work with cats like Timbo and Kanye, I bet if he wanted to work almost exclusively with lesser known producers, the label would shut him down like ‘whoa’.”
He could have said, “It’s my way or the highway.” Meaning, this is whom I choose and that is that (i.e. Lady Gaga and RedOne). Artists forget that when you create a buzz such as he did… the labels need and want you… and you can broker your own terms in an industry that is thirsty for such artists (we are talking about left in the desert without any water type thirsty). Knowing what I know… that is on him. At his age… who would not wish to work with the biggest producers in urban music? But that is part of the Drake problem post SFG (again, IMO only).
*Listens to song*
*After Listening for 30 seconds puts headphones down*
*Writes a suicidal letter*
*Grabs a rope and chair*
The rest is up to your imagination.
^lol?
ay this shit sucks fam. how can he try to be hard on some records and put this out….artists need to figure their shit out, cant try to be in every lane. that shit is GAY
It’s the Cash Money curse I tell you!!
If you don’t believe me, ask Currency!!
This is terrible.
I really like this. The melody, the beat, the song structure. It’s just music that feels good at least to me. Drake is a great songwriter. A lot of yall put so much pressure on artists, and then hate everything they put out if it isn’t up to YOUR standards. Let him do him, and listen to what you like instead of bashing another persons work all day.
First I am a Drake fan and I do not like this song, but it will get played on the radio because women will like and its an easy sing a long
Second @Synaptwit do not romanticize the 90s bro because while there was dope stuff there was also Kris Kross.
Third I think Drake is too much of a Kanye fan for his own good. I would have listened on the production for Kanye’s album first before choosing a track to go in on. Like if you getting a Kanye beat might as well get where ever his new direction in production is.
Fourth final opinion on everything should be made on June 16 because we will have the actual album.
Fifth OVER was the truth. I dare anyone to bump that song in your headphones and not gain an extra limp in your step. It just makes you feel good.
“But it will get played on the radio because women will like and its an easy sing a long…”
Enh. I am getting no reaction from those I have played it for.
For me, it went up a couple of notches just from when I posted earlier today after repeated listens – but it still is not instant hit status. But so far, others are not biting (and I am talking about doing it on the sly and not simply outright asking what folks [esp. females] think about/of it).
That is saying a lot. “Un-thinkable” caught everyone’s attention upon first listen. Which makes sense – that is a legitimate hit record.
But I know the influence of radio so we shall see once it hits the airwaves and gets shoved down people’s throats how the same people react.
@thecool11o3
Is it me or is Drake going downhill since he joined YM?

@ Shmup i think thats the general consensus surroundng drake now. cuz i picked up on that a while ago…
He jus isnt the same. I dont think he was the next great jewish hope or anything, but he had sumthin going for himself. he still does have sumthing goin, but this stuff hes puttin out is….ugh..
And, oh yeah this song is not hip-hop in any form of way.
This song is so aweful that I am seriously considering burning my life’s possessions, feeding the ashes to wolves, moving to the middle of Bhutan, living with the natives thus cutting off all ties to my friends and family just to avoid this song.
I think the song is dope, but I think the criteria for how certain artists are discussed or critiqued on this site is interesting. Drake almost always gets a backhanded compliment/non enthusiastic response, but other artists like BOB, Pill, etc never get the same type of critique. I’m a fan of all 3, but do yall have something against Drake? When it comes to music reviews it just seems like yall let your agenda/biases show. I love the site, but that’s just something I noticed. Keep it real TSS!
AV
this should of been on the 808 & heartbreaks — bonus track or some shit.
the beat is so cheez Yeezy! Jeeez.
It was ok, for waht it’s trying to do, I was midly breaking it down but I would never look to Drake for a ballad…so NO thanks
LMFAO @ Credo
Maaan I’m all for a new sound and the whole 9 I’m down with dudes doing something else besides that norm but i just didn’t like this one aint aint gon say he shouldn’t sing i aint gone be typical and say this shit sound super homo I’m just gon say i just didnt like it i just dint like this song
How is this track surprising? Isn’t this the same guy that did HoustonLantaVegas, Say Something, Un-thinkable and Shut it down?
As for the song: its good, but risky. Its not uptempo enough for the masses to get their arms around, Lets be honest; Ye didn’t exactly burn up the singles charts with 808.
Meh
You guys need to pay more attention to Revolutionary Kids. They are insane.
Yo if Drake keeps this sh*t up then It’s OVER It’s OVER…It’s close to OVER!!! Keep dropping hot metaphors mane not this!!! Put it on the album but not a single. I miss that Kanye To Da sound – get ya swag back daddy!!! Not hatin’ jus sayin’ as a fan of both a disapointment (it may be for the ladies tho)
I finally stopped avoiding this and…nah…
I finally stopped avoiding this and…nah…
what is he doing? what is he doing?!
Oh yeah that’s right he’s doing him
thats what hes gonna do till its over
so all yall need to chill out
until you come out with your own mixtape or album yall should just keep quiet
Love him! He’s not like most rap performers – afraid to strike out with something different.
That’s how leaders are made! There’s plenty of cussing left out here to go around!
Class is what really counts and he’s showing plenty of it.
Way to go Drake – Cleveland awaits you!
keep comin dude you will hit it like Kanye and weezy.love ya
