Day three of the world’s greatest postseason tournament, so how is your bracket looking? Great? Horrible? Keeping your head above water? At this point, if you’ve still got your Final Four teams around, consider it a win-win and count your blessings. West Virginia shut the talk up about the Big East being the most disappointed conference thus far, at least momentarily. And Cornell did what most of the experts predicted them to do, beat number 5 Temple to advance to the field of 32. However, after today, half of the Sweet 16 will be set. Here’s who we think will be there.

(6) Tennessee Vs. (14) Ohio


Throw some glass slippers on Ohio and call ‘em Cinderella. The #14 seed Bobcats are on a high after shockingly ousting #3 Georgetown. Tennessee, on the other hand, squeaked by with a win against San Diego State but must play their game to end the ‘Cats upset run. Ohio’s outside shooting, which secured a win in the first round, will be the focus of the Volunteers “D.” If Ohio can continue to create open looks on the perimeter and convert, they’ll stay alive. Unfortunately their going against the same Vols who pulled some regular season upsets of their own against Kentucky and Kansas.

The upset win by Murray State against Vandy is why we watch this tourney. Another upset will be the Racers realizing that the Butler Bulldogs won’t even let them get that close in their match up. Against UTEP, Butler went on a 22-4 second half mauling – and that’s as good of momentum as a buzzer beater. For Murray State, their poor free throw shooting can’t be repeated or it’s definitely a wrap. But the odds were against the Racers last time and look what happened.
