Sometimes you just need to let off some steam.
Crooked I does just that on “First Time,” a simple yet extremely engaging audio confessional designed around only a beatbox and single street corner singer. Beginning with his affiliated adolescence, this Long Beach behemoth spills some engaging details explaining his come up to becoming the center of Circle of Bosses and Slaughterhouse butcher he is today.

OK, so now that Guru’s alive and recovering, I can continue shitting on his questionable moves. An official statement has been released and my question is: Is Solar Guru’s butt buddy or what?
“Hit producer and Guru’s longtime partner Superproducer Solar wants to make clear that only he has access to Guru…”
Everytime I see shit like this it makes me question Guru’s sense of reality and why he feels the need to shit on Premier as often as possible. I’m a life long Hip-Hop nerd and I can’t name one track Solar’s produced, let alone any “hits.” I’m not trying to ride Primo’s nuts, but the classics they made as Gangstarr since ’89 or so have clearly been forgotten by Keith. Can’t remember the last time Guru’s called Premier a superproducer, a hitmaker, or even longtime partner. But yet he praises some nobody over one of the universally recognized greatest beatmakers in history.
“Guru, the sole founder of the world famous Hip-Hop group Gang Starr…”<— clearly wanting to let everybody now that only he is Gangstarr and that Primo was just some dude spinnin the records; just a glorified hypeman.
"Solar is the only person who has the accurate info on my situation. Any info from anybody else is false!" Was Solar holding his hands the whole time?
^
Makes you wonder.
Ha Sampled the Shai jawn If I ever fall in Love Dope
and if i evaaaaaaaaaaa fall in loooove so truuuuuuuue
@ Tres: all sounds extremely questionable, and I understand why you would be pissed. However, I don’t think it is rational to even attempt making sense of anything Guru has done in the past years. He is obviously delusional, I doubt anyone will ever tell you that Solar is a better producer or Guru has made any noteworthy music with him ( i can’t speak on jazzmatazz I have never listened to it).
had no i idea that was a sample.
tips hat
Thanks PhillmaticKicks, VirginiaDelphian! I knew it was a sample but couldn’t think of the song/group.
