So, Steve Jobs sold 120,000 iPads on Friday.
If I remember correctly, his iPhone/iBook merger ticketed for around $600. And if my phone’s calculator calculations add up, that means Apple earned $72 million dollars of revenue in one day off one product. A product that doesn’t even hit stores until April 3rd, mind you.
What that tells me is I really should start looking into this whole NASDAQ thingy.

that shit is just too funny, and reminds me of the ipad
Everybody Want The Same Thing
But No One Want That U Get It Before Another !!!
I still need an iPhone and PS3….so iPad is on my list of toys to get in 2014.
Now I’m really considering the Modbook that was in the Cooler post
I do not get the hype.
If I had money to just throw away, I would get one as well. (If I were rich) But I’m not, so unfortunately I will have to do without. The sad part is no one really needs this item, and some people do not really have the money to purchase it, but they decide to go further into debt and but it
as someone told me, people, her included, get in line to get the next new shit cuz its the next new shit. what better way to show off and proclaim your coolness? who cares if it actually works/is necessary/etc.
I just do not get it beyond the, “look what I copped” mentality (that has made many millionaires and billionaires).
A friend of mine is one of those 120k and when she was justifying buying one… it simply did not add up. What can you do on the iPad that you cannot do on an iPhone (minus the bigger screen) or netbook (essentially)?
Apps?
That is worth the extra $300?
I even went to Apple’s site and watched the videos regarding all that the iPad could do (with an open mind). I expected to be impressed (and was ready to buy one), but was not [impressed] at all.
Nah, it is the, “look at what I have” that is worth the extra 300 in most eyes.
To me, if I do not need it…
I am just not purchasing it (even if I can afford it).
What a waste.
But kudos to Apple for being smart enough to get people to shell out so much money for trends. Seriously, my hats off to them.
Like selling ice to an Eskimo.

I remember this! Had me ROLLING last year (because it is true). I showed my ex as she had just spent 600 on a phone.
But if you can get that money… get that money!
I can’t call it! It’s as if Steve Jobs knows magic. I’ve seen the Ipad several times and I’m still clueless as to what it does. Creating mystery is definitely one of Apple’s forte. Thing is next year there will be another Ipad with more features and add-ons surpassing it’s predecessor. If you have the moula to buy more power to you but if you’re not a impulse buyer wait it out.
