I’ma be honest with you. As much as I’ve seen and respected Nipsey Hussle’s come-up over the past year, I personally can’t say I’ve found myself enthralled enough to rehash a single song from the South Central MC’s catalogue. For no real reason, either.
Then, I heard “Talk About Me” and realized I miiight out be a tad out of line.
Flat out, this Whoo-Kid-hosted heat rock is about as hot as a loose muffler scrapping down the streets of Slauson in July, with one-time flying behind, trying to catch up to the work in the trunk. The Hussle man steps his flow up. The beat sounds about as Raw as Monday night. And that combination makes for an uncut production of gutter and grime that will without a doubt find a regular spot into this listeners personal rotation.

Download — Nipsey Hussle – “Talk About Me”
Props: Mr. X

Beware: Download his “Bullets Ain’t Got No Names” series ASAP!!! Hu$$le is that dude.
lmao, why would you tell him to dl the whole series if he just told you that he hasn’t heard one song that makes him want to revisit the material?
I’d point out tracks. And for my tastes, I dunno, I always play “Gangster’s Life” and “Killers” with Drake. I don’t think “Killers” is his best song, but I like how he tried to alter his delivery a little and it worked. I’ll have to dig for some other songs of his that i love b/c there’s a handful of them, at least enough to make a strong playlist.
^^^true story, but I didn’t really feel this song.
@ Gotty: You’re aware that he has OTHER songs outside of the “Bullets” series right. He has done plenty of other mixtapes, the “Bullets” series being his most prominent. His catalogue is quite extensive, just wasn’t sure if Beware was…aware. Sorry, no lame joke intended! LOL.
I’ve listened to my fair share of his work.
Not knocking you, just…he said he hasn’t found songs that stuck out to him. YOu told him to go back and listen to whole tapes lol. it’s like being @ a buffet and the person next to you saying “what’s good here?” and you replying “everything over there is good.” It may be a bad analogy but I hope you get the point.
Therefore, i was suggesting that you point out specific tracks by name. that’s all.
Vol. 2 is his best tape IMO. “Strapped” is a dope song from Hussle.
His Verse on Curren$y’s I Don’t Fucks Wit Em (Off Smokee Robinson) is ridiculous! Lets hope this track is sumthin that makes the album!
@ J. Tinse: Vol.2 had mad bangaz on it, I still kill Vol.1 though. “Burner On My Lap” is my joint!!!
I always play “Gangster’s Life” and “Killers” with Drake.
==================================================
Not overly familiar with Nipsey’s work but I still plan on checking his discography based off of those two songs. They both went hard.
Yea Nipsey is that dude! This was on 1 of his or someone else’s mixtape! I’m guessing this is the no DJ version! Definitely 1 of his better tracks too!
steppin into Snoops shoes and rappin over an dubstep-influenced beat.. “Bullets” (rmx) wit Game and They Roll get regular spins tho
Killer is a dope track, it sounds too short though, I think one of them is gonna get somebody else on it and put it on the album. That’s what one should do anyway. Gangsta’s Life is tuff too.
Here’s some stand outs (IMO) for you to check out BEWARE:
