In many ways, it’s good that Ludacris moved Battle Of The Sexes from focusing on one co-host to inviting appearances from multiple inhabitants from the planet of Venus. It creates an almost speed-dating setting that allows him to exploit the variety of ways in which two opposites interact. On “My Chick Bad,” Luda tosses verbal rose petals and praises at the footsteps of Hip-Hop’s current “it” girl, Nicki Minaj. For her part, Nicki holds her own spitting a few catchy lines. I’m not sure if I could tolerate her delivery for a whole album, but in measured doses and selected feature appearances, she makes quite the co-star.
