Gourmet keeps delivering with their take on casual shoes that are good for work or play. As part of their Spring arrivals that have been hitting shops, these two distinctly different versions of the L’Cinque are both eye-catching. The black nubuck model is nice but the honey version is the business. The Epi Leather is a premium leather used by classic luxury brands like LV and is every bit as detailed as one could want.

@yup, orthopedic shoes is exactly what this shit looks like. there’s no curves or design on the midsole, so shit just looks like you cut out a piece of foam and glued it to your house shoes.

Tiger’s public apology last Friday had me thinking about how something like this would unfold in the world of hip hop. I started thinking… What would it have been like if Officer Ricky held a press conference like this when the information first leaked that he was once a corrections officer? What song would he walk out to? (Akon “Locked Up” Michael Bolton “Steel Bars” maybe Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me”) Who would host it? (Minister Farakhan? Al Sharpton? Foxy Brown?) Who would he hug afterwards? (Jay-Z, Trick Daddy? Maybe that guy from the Dunkin Donuts commercials that says, “Time to make the donuts.”) The possibilities are endless. Would he appear contrite and wishing for forgiveness? Would he come across as sincere, or would he continue to try and deceive us? Would he try to lighten the mood by showing up in his old uniform leading out a chain gang of prisoners or would he show up in a fake Louis Vuitton moo moo smoking a cuban cigar? Who from the media would be allowed there? Heavy hitters like Elliot Wilson and The TSS crew? Or would Terrence and Rocsi be the only ones allowed to ask questions?
Both of these stories have striking similatities. Previous women coming out of the woodwork to embarass these men publicly and divulge information about them. There insistence on keeping the lies going even once it was obvious to everyone else what they had done. The fact that if they just told the truth in the beginning there would have been so much less of a media frenzy. I don’t care what anyone says, Tiger got Babe Ruth’d by his wife and Officer Ricky kept more poor black men behind bars than the Rockefeller Drug Laws. The bottom line is we live in a world where nine times out of ten, “The truth will set you free.” Neither of these men did anything that plenty of there peers haven’t done in some form. The problem was that they let there ego’s get in the way and thought that there fame and status could convince the public of anything regardless of how ludicrous it may be. Neither of there careers will suffer in the long term from there actions but if you value character in your athlete’s and rappers then these two men have done something to damage theirs for the rest of there lives. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest what either of them did, what bothers me is that they think the people they consider “their fans” are so stupid that they could sell us some magic beanstalk beans and try to hoodwink us like that.
Lying and deception are an art form. If you have not practiced these for years and years it is not recommended that you start trying now and assume you will be good. If you don’t have a poker face don’t sit down at the table in Vegas. If I’m going to be lied to I want it to be by the best. I want to know my liars are lying and still have them put a little bit of doubt in my mind. The Bill Clintons, Johnnie Cochranes, and George Costanzas of the world are the ones I respect, not “Tall Tale Tiger(no homo)” and “Aesop Ricky”.

Gourmet’s are the truth…if you are waiting for someone else to buy a pair before making your decision i recommend just disregarding these and sticking to creative recs or nike’s….gourmet is a forwarding thinking brand and is something you gotta make work for you….be a leader not a follower…

I looked for the shoe, and it’s one of those shoes that look better when they on your feet with some clean ass dickies or 501s. but look like shit if you hold em in your hand. check out that truly yours video tho, they come out in the beggining.
