“Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers…”
MUSIC By K1NG on February 6, 2010 at 7:48 pmIt’s no secret that I am a huge fan of The Beatles. I have a company named after one of the member’s songs and own practically all their albums on vinyl. There’s also a pretty good chance that I’m a Wu-Tang fan considering Hip-Hop was my first love and the fact that I’m still breathing. Both groups changed the face of their musical genre upon entering the spotlight. The Beatles being one of the first studio bands to do all original music on their albums and The Wu coming out with nine dope MC’s on one roster.
Considering these factors, my feelings were mixed when I came across Tea Sea Record’s Wu-Tang Vs. Beatles mash-up album a couple of weeks ago. On one hand, I couldn’t wait to check it out, but on the other I feared how corny and forced it may turn out. Reluctantly, during one of my eight hour shifts at work, I finally pressed play on my iPod. To my surprise, the next 37 songs went by so smooth it felt like it was an original production.
One thing that Tom Caruana did that made it such an enjoyable listen is not pander to either audience. While the Beatle’s influence was apparent, it wasn’t in your face to the point where it distracted from the razor sharp lyrics from Shaolin’s finest, and the Wu verses he utilized were not just the ones everybody and their grandmother knows. In all honesty, I enjoyed this album much more than Danger Mouse’s mash-up effort The Grey Album. That’s saying something.
So if you were skeptical at first like I was and are looking for a reason to download, allow me to be your recommender. It’s very well done and worth the disk space.

I’m not a huge fan of mash-ups. But I’ve been playing this joint pretty heavy.
it feels good to have been enjoying somethin, and TSS co-signs, spread the word lol
pass
i got this about two weeks ago, and it has seriously been almost all i have been listening to no exaggeration. everything is seamless, and his samples are brilliant. he takes some classic songs and makes them better if that is possible. the awesome thing is BOTH songs in everysong are classics by themselves. 2 of my all time favorite groups as well.
o and btw youre right, this makes the grey album sound like dog shit
yeah yeah yeah, these joints felt perfect for almost all of em. great sampling, i feel like dirt had a hand in this. on some spiritual inspiration shish

^ Co-signature.
straight fire, nuff said…the fact that they sampled semi-random songs, not just well-known Beatles classics, makes it that much better.
Tom Caruana should be considered for the spot of co-producer on the next offiicial Wu Tang Clan album.
It’s Saturday night, I’m hammered drunk, but this mashup has stayed my d.u.i. playlist the last few weeks…for real.
Great Sunday morning wake-up; I was wary as well but it’s well worth it.
Usually not into mashups but this is very well done.
Wu Tang vs The Beatles – Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers > The Grey Album.
Good look…ODB over “You Never Give Me Your Money” is fire…
try not to get sued.
Wow, this is audio crack. So good I had to actually post for my first time instead of my usual lurking.
OMG i am so glad you are my friend. I have just found a new thing to love!
The non hard core Beatles fans won’t find all the samples that recognizable. In that regard it will seem slanted more towards the Wu. Those people will like The Grey Album better.
Well, I was lifted right away. It consist every fragment of what you can call nice packed modern music. Fact that you have a serious musicians here. Better then Beatlemania actually. I’m rolling this one almost every day for month, and I can tell you: a real joy. You got every component: rhythm, funk, soul, hip hop Wu Tang Clan and The Beatles – is there anything more on this planet? I doubt, – complete highway – fire – mind burning. You can feel real magic here – I recommend with a big “R”.
My roommate luckily listens to a lot of the artist I listen to (I take pride I got him hip to Blu and Fashawn). I’m currently playing it now and he said he can hear the Beatles, but not as much as one would expect. Nevertheless, this is a great blend and is well done compared to others *Cough*Collision Course*Cough*
Collision Course won a Grammy lol
grammy < anything off the dollar menu at McDonalds.

Hey people,
love that tape! Perfect flow for a late Monday morning breakfast.
The beat at 16:40mins, does anybody know where its from? I’ve heard it a million times in different songs but can’t recognize where its from….
peace
Drusch
Love the way they flipped this isshh!
But where is the vinyl version of this? I would pay good money for it and bet many others would too. Beatles fans are already obligated to love vinyls, and hip hop is all about turntables too, so this is THE shit to put on a 12″…
I really love this but I can’t download it anymore.
can anyone send me the songs.

I’d love you forever if you do.
thank youuu.
