“I’m bringin it back, back to the original crook…”
Listening closely, you have to admit there’s not many artists, period, that executed a first album like the Brooklyn representers. Buckshot’s flow? Timeless and incomparable.
“…You know ‘I Got Cha Opin,’ make take money, money
‘Act Like U Want It,’ ain’t a damn thing funny
‘Son Get Wrec’ with your ‘Black Smif-n-Wessun’
“Shit Iz Real” when I toss another lesson.”

Download — Black Moon – “Enta Da Stage”

This NEVER leaves the rotation…
he was talkin ish to my man so i had to get him, yep.
Dah Shinin’ > Enta Da Stage
got to see them both perform both albums with a live band at the knitting factory about a year ago…
Dah Shinin’ > Enta Da Stage
^^^
Oh hell nah. “Who Got Da Props?” is better than ever song on there and that’s just the single.
Very very close but since BM fathered SW, gotta give them the orig credit.
Da Shinin’ was sick. Then they got sued by the gun company… had probs ever since.
^^^ Sound Bwoy Burial, Bucktown, K.I.M., Let’s Get It On, Wontime, Wreckonize, Stand Strong… that album is one of my top ten favorites of all time, maybe it’s just cuz me and my people used to smoke blunts and drink 40s to that album every day like 12-13 years ago and I feel like it sounds a little less dated… I get that Black Moon came first pause and all that but I think Dah Shinin is one of the most underrated albums of all time…

===============
Depends on who’s doing the rating I guess.
I remember when both came out. Everybody was not ready when BM dropped. But by the time SW did, folks had warmed up and it was playing everywhere. But you wouldn’t have had that acceptance w/o Enta… coming first. Listening though, you can’t deny that nobody’s been able to hold a match to what Buckshot did as an emcee. Just like there’s never been another __________, there’s never been another Buck. Hell, Buck can’t even begin to match everything he captured in the creation of the album.
^^^
Underrated, yeah. But Enta Da Stage is actually celebrated. Underground Hip-Hop that actually gets mentioned on the who’s who. Plus, Buckshot is way better on the mic than either of the Bruvaz
duckdown and wu-tang both had a nice resurgences this year but both camps fell off hard for a long period of time…
Oh shit! This album was lost in my mind for a minute. ‘Bout to download the album now!
So many cats tried to bite bucshots flow.
my absolute all time favorite album. ive had three tapes and three cd’s of enter da stage. i remeber i cop’ed this at the same time i coped midnight marauders when i was in 10th grade back in 93. at first i wasnt feelin it because the single who got the props was on some smoove ish an the lp was all gunplay/ hard rock style. i was straight god body backpaker kid at the time so the production and the mind of the slave joint really put the whole record in my head and i still throw this and group homes livin proof on, grab a cup of henny and roast me a newport light whenever i have a shitty day.
personal all time fav, one of a few
I always felt like everything about that first BM album was a precursor to The Infamous…
That album is a classic I used to get so high listening to it. Shout to Evil Dee for the drop for my album.
Ah yes, the heady days when Duck Down ruled all the underground for a couple of years.
Enta Da Stage and Dah Shinin’ are both bonafide classics. Da Beatminerz were one of the most consistently good production crews of all time when at their peak.
Enta Da Stage or Dah Shinin’ – It’s like asking someone to choose their favourite child…
(obviously, don’t ask that question to any boss-eyed men in trenchcoats hanging around the school gates…)
Buckshot def the most lyrical one… can’t argue with that… anyone ever heard d-block go in over sound boy burial? Jada and P get it in on this beat…

by the way, does anyone have a link to an mp3 of when Ja Rule went in on those Mobb deep beats back in the day, one of the only things rule ever did I could say is classic besides story to tell and murdergram…

man, Da Beatminerz had the illest beats!
