Cocky and confident in their new pitching system in their latest MLB edition, 2K Sports is hosting an unprecedented competition where the gamer skilled enough to pitch a perfect game, could walk away $1,000,000 richer.
“You don’t see too many perfect games thrown in MLB 2K, but we’ve seen it happen,” said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing at 2K Sports. “Our goal is to celebrate and highlight Major League Baseball 2K10’s superior pitching and hitting mechanics this season, while also giving one of our loyal fans the thrilling opportunity to be rewarded with a lot of money.”
“Every baseball fan knows pitching a perfect game is one of the most difficult and rarest accomplishments in all of sports, and that’s what makes this million dollar contest so compelling,” said Evan Longoria, All-Star third baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays and cover athlete for Major League Baseball 2K10. “This is the chance of a lifetime, and I’m excited to see fans really try to go for it in Major League Baseball 2K10. I just hope they don’t try against the Rays, because my teammates and I aren’t going to make it easy on them.”
The contest begins the minute after MLB 2K10 is released on March 2nd and allows you your own personal Grapefruit and Cactus League up until May 2nd. The fine print says all submissions must be on a DVD so make that trip to Radio Shack® if need be after camping out at Gamestop®.
Better get that ice ready if you’re attempting this on the Nintendo Wii.

1000k? TC what kinda crazy ass abbreviation of 1 million is that hah.
Also everyone knows ea > 2k
I think TC’s on that stuff today lol.
The “2K” games try to be too technical (I’m looking at you NBA 2K) but fail at being realistic; they haven’t perfected that combination YET. That being said, I’m sure, without even playing a demo of this game that someone will win this competition.
ea > 2k, unfortunately there is no more mvp baseball, and for the poor like me without a next gen console, no mlb the show for PC; out of the park is great, but i’m missing actually playing games
I seen something about this & thought it was joke! Guess it’s for real! Not really a fan of the MLB 2K games though haven’t bought an MLB video game since MVP series died which was really dope! Agreed about EA Sports › 2K Sports except for when it comes to NBA games after switching to 2K10 this year!
Baseball was about the only thing EA did better than 2K, but now The Show is by far the best baseball game out. There was also like a 2-3 year stretch where 2K put out better hockey games than EA, but EA Canada has righted the ship to the point where NHL is actually a good game again and 2K just flat out sucks.
MLB THE SHOW is the best sports game period (yes i said it)….. it really sucks if you are a baseball fan and you have a xbox… cuz 2k baseball is trash
^^^what he said. MLB The Show yearly gives the likes of EA’s NHL,Tiger Woods PGA, FIFA & Madden and 2K’s NBA 2K, a major run for their money in the overall quality department.
Everything is damn near perfectly laid out in The Show from the franchise mode to the gameplay mechanics to the custom soundtracks. Just very well put together.
I almost feel bad for X-Box baseball fans. To have to put up with the shitfest that is MLB 2K or not take part in the gaming form of their sport. Sucks….
