The short-end version of what took place is simple. The Heat were socking it to the C’s last night, holding a 89-78 lead midway through the fourth quarter. It seemed like a foregone conclusion until the traveling team starting to mount a comeback and finally grabbed a short-lived four point lead with less than a minute remaining. Short-lived because the Heat tied the game @ 99 with 5.5 left on the clock. Celtics ball.
Then what happens?
DWade swipes the ball & dunks. Proverbial nail in the coffin, right?
Obviously wrong, otherwise this post probably would’ve ended there. With .2 left on the clock, Glen “Doc” Rivers draws up the play and behold.
The game goes to OT, the Celts take the momentum and the W on the road. And NBA action continues to be fan-tastic.

Doc Rivers drew up a hell of a play & Rondo made him look like a genius.
LOL @ the Heat getting hosed by the clock operators. Initially I thought the brief stoppage was going to somehow help them.
I just love how Dwade was going into “THIS IS MY HOUSE!!!” shit talk and the Celtics comeback and beats them. LOL!!!
The clock operators have had their hand in quite a few games this year. Especially in late game situations.
Hey Chalmers… Gotcha!
“Ron-Doooooo” – Mike Epps
Damn that was a great game….I wonder how long Wade will stay in Miami. Rondo came through big not only with that last .06 tip but also in OT ftw!
I mean can we just really give it up to Rondo people. I mean aside from this game. He’s been a BEAST for the Celtics. Every since Garnets injury last season , he and Big Baby Davis have been the Most Improved players in the league (well not so much Big Baby anymore due to this years injury). And for the most part this season HE’s been a big deciding factor in the C’s vics.
*salutes*
D-treal replace Big Baby with Perk and you’re correct. Perk is a beast
Regardless of the the crazy play in the end…..
DWade has been destroying it lately!
Percocet has always been a beast but as far as improving goes Big Babe has come a long way
The best road team in the NBA showed what championship basketball is all about. It still doesn’t mean shit unless they can beat the Lakers, though…
One.
